A loud scream echoed through the halls of Hope's Peak. Your eyes shot open and you sat up in the bed, clutching the thick bed sheets. Could it be? No. It can't. After all she was lying right next to you. Your right hand felt the other side of the bed. All that was there was a small dent in the mattress. The floor seemed to freeze your feet as you slid them from under the blanket and set them on the floor at immense speed. A light brown carpet next to the bed felt fluffy under your soft feet. You pushed open the metal door and dashed out, running at top speed through the halls.

Another scream sounded, then a crack. She can't be dead! Could she? You shook your head when you heard the scream sound again, this time it seemed to be more a whine, as if she in pain. If she was being attacked she was probably dodging the movements of the other person but still got hit. You stopped in the middle of the hall and listened to the sounds, trying to figure out where they were. A loud moan could be heard from... Upstairs! You sped to the side and raced up the metal stairs, hand sliding up the black bar attached to the steps as you ran. The floorboards beneath your feet creaked beneath your weight. Sweat beaded your forehead as you ran and, the hair flying behind you was a tangled mess. Did you care? No.

You stopped when you heard heavy steps. How you ended up near the boys' and girls' locker room baffled you. But a crack in the door to the boys' locker room told you where they were. You kicked open the metal door, ignoring the pain surging through the side of your foot, and stared in horror as Mondo stood over poor Chihiro, a gray weight held firmly in his right hand. The brunette programer was clutching her arm in pain. You gritted your teeth and balled your hands to fists, your short finger nails digging into the creases of your palms. You clenched every muscle in your body before moving. You dashed in front of the cowering female, standing strong to protect her from the brown haired bike rider.

A loud bash then a crack could be heard through the room. You felt all nerves in your right arm go dead. You clutched your bleeding and already swollen arm. Your breath hitched as you were hit again, but this time the pain was in the left side of your waist. It cracked the bone, but you still stood tall. Each hand clutching a bleeding wound and your lip bit to the point of blood spilling onto your chin.

"(Y/N)!" You heard the high pitched voice of Chihiro as your head was finally hit with the final crack of the weight. Your knees buckled and you fell to your side. The cold tile beneath you freezing you to the core. Your eyes closed as the final signs of life drained from your body. Now with dull eyes and cold hands. Letting you slip into an eternal slumber. Never to awake again.

"WHY!?" The brown haired girl stood with new confidence over the corpse of her friend. Still hoping that she wasn't dead.

"I-I lost control, she showed me up. She was stronger than me. Stronger than I was." Mondo frowned, dropping the gray weight with a blank stare, letting his hands fall to the side as if they were dead. Chihiro frowned, tears streaming down her face while she looked down at her friend, dead with a blank expression in you eyes. A frown carved into your pale white lips .

The one thing that was good in this forsaken school was now dead and all she could do was watch as it was taken from her. How could she be so weak? She would've never been able to save her. Even if she had survived this, she would probably hate her for not standing up for herself and fighting. But now that she was dead, there was no one she would be able to tell her secret to, no one else she could trust. No one to be there for her.

Chihiro trembled. She frowned and clenched her fists together, so hard that her knuckles turned white and her nails dug into the palm.

The decision had been made for her, to never tremble again, to never cry again. For you, that was the only reason. From now until the end of her life, she would never show weakness again. And she hoped you would watch her as she grew, and became stronger. All for you. For you, were her strength. Strength to smile, strength to laugh, strength to love. To love, you.
