Bang! I already hear the sounds of the lockers coming to life as students prepare for their next class. I stopped at m locker feeling it's cold lifeless surface as to opened and the familiar sound of a click fills my ears. I look to my left and see people kneeling down to get books and pens that might have fallen. The smell of newly washed hair and overly used perfume filled my nose. I slammed my locker shut "Got to get to class" but the crowd is overwhelming and I have to shove complete strangers to get to where I need to be.
I hear shouts coming from all directions. Teachers commanding us to keep the crowd moving like sheep being herded by a shepherd and his dog. The movement stops and the people from behind hour in frustration with the knowledge that there is only four minutes between classes. The crowd continues down the long burgundy hallways. "Just a few more steps." I reach the door and force it open. A rush of air hits my face as I wait yet again for students to continue moving. I sigh as the undesirable thought of climbing the stairs comes to mind. "If only I could take the elevator."
Another door and mother hallways in my sight. I feel my palms sweat from holding my notebooks no my back ache from the weight of my book bag. The temperature in the school shifts from hot to cold within the floors of the school building. Almost immediately I start to hold my books closer. Finally. I enter the classroom greeting the teacher as I did the last and sit ready to start the routine all over again...

THE END.
