Surprisingly, I was nervous for school. I couldn't decide on an outfit or how to do my hair or how to do my makeup. Everything I did, I second guessed myself. I was nervous to possibly see Jake in school. Finally, I decided on a black lace dress and a purple leather jacket and cute black boots that went up to my ankle. I curled my long brown hair and braided back my bangs. I quickly did my eyeliner before giving Crumbles a pat on the head and grabbing an apple on my way out the door.

My parents had already left by the time I left for school. My mother worked as a choreographer for Broadway on the weekends and as a teacher on the other side of the city during the week. She taught college English. My dad worked as an HR director for a hospital corporation.

A little down the street I realized that I forgot my backpack and my phone, so I had to run back and get them. No doubt in my mind I was going to be late for school. I was practically running down the streets of New York City. I wasn't really paying attention to my surroundings, I just kept speed running, that is until I bumped into someone and totally fell on my butt. Good thing the stranger fell too. My phone flew onto the concrete as inconsiderate businessmen passed. Some things flew out of my bag, the stranger's bag was totally open.

"This is yours," I say as I look up right into Jake's eyes, wow. I was actually kind of shocked to see him, I really didn't know what to say, I just started stuttering.

"T-thanks, sorry that I-I ran into you, I was just really late for school and I wasn't looking where I was going and yeah sorry about that." I said as I picked up the rest of my stuff and put my bag on my shoulder.

"It's fine, I'm late too, you passed the school though," Jake laughed. Sure enough, I looked back and on the corner was the school. Of course.

"I guess I really wasn't paying attention to where I was going," I laughed at my own stupidity, Jake stood up and stared at me smiling, "What, do I have something on my face?" I blushed.

"No, you just look really pretty today, and you look really cute when you blush." Jake said as we started walking leisurely to the school. Suddenly, I didn't care that I was late as long as I was with him.

"Thank you, you look pretty too," I actually cannot believe I said something that stupid. I bit my lip hoping he didn't realize, but he did and broke out into hysterical laughter.

I looked up at him, "Do you really think I'm pretty?" He said in a high-pitched voice and giggled. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Well, Cecilia, I would like to know more about you," Jake said as we approached the school.

"Well, Jake, you can call me CeCe and what would you like to know?" I smiled, I loved the feeling I got when I was with him.

There was a burning in my stomach and I couldn't think straight but it all felt so right. My legs felt like they couldn't work properly and my hands got all shaky. I couldn't help but just smile all the time and blush all the time. His laugh and his smile were contagious and I just wanted to hear him talk for forever. It was a feeling a couldn't ignore, nor would it subside.

Jake smiled and blushed slightly as his hand brushed against mine, I thought I was going to pass out, "I like Cecilia better, it suits you. First, what is your last name?" He asked with a playfully inquisitive look.

"Tomlinson, and yours?"

"Tomlinson? I think our parents know each other, is your mom Elise?" He asked.

"Yeah, who's your dad?" I asked, my mom never really talked about someone with an attractive son my age who went to my school and was literally the total package.

"Your mom and dad and my dad all went to college together, apparently they were friends or something." Jake explained as we walked into school trying to avoid the stares of the administration.

"What's your dad's name?" The only people that my mom talked about from college was Aunt Ava and Uncle Zayn, otherwise no one else.

"Niall, Niall Horan."
