Is this the start? - pilot chapter

"You idiot, I'm soaking wet this is all your fault!" I find myself yelling trying to get out of the water I just fell in in.

I feel another creature moving beside me. "Well this is the most I've heard you talk, impressive." He say and shakes his head a bit before trying to fix himself up.

You're probably trying to understand what's going on right now, and if I was you I would probably do the same. Don't worry though, let me tell you..

[8 HOURS EARLIER]

I groan as I hit my alarm hard trying to turn it off as fast as I can so that I quickly can go back to my beauty sleep ((which in case does not work since I'm ugly either ways)). After snoozing for about five times I decide to get up to get ready for school. Getting up in the morning isn't one of the things I enjoy the most, and running late is probably one of my specialties. I try to get dressed without thinking about killing myself since it's Monday and i untangle my braids letting my dark brown hair being curly as usual. Afterwards I run downstairs to get me some food. I don't really bother doing my makeup today and since it's Monday nobody will notice anyway.

"Hi sleepyhead, did you sleep good?" My brother Ashton asks me. So maybe I should tell you guys that Ashton is my thirty seconds older twin brother. Most of the girls in school are head over heels in him, so I guess you can say that Ashton is popular. Which leads us to the straight opposite... me. Yes, I'm the nerdy twin sister don't judge me okay. I just really don't think I fit in in my school, or around any human being to be honest. I don't have that much friends in school, only one actually. His name is Alex and we've been friends for ages now. But I will tell you more about Alex later. Girls in my school only care about looks, sex, makeup, sex, popularity and sex. Did I just mention sex three times? yes I sure did. And seriously, I haven't even talked to a boy so I'm the straight opposite. I enjoy reading books, listen to my favorite bands, and just chill. I'd prefer to stay in rather than go to a party since I don't drink.. obviously. I don't see myself as 'hot' or 'pretty' or.. actually I don't see myself as someone important. People in school often ignore me, and that's cool with me. I hate attention, but that's just me. Vanessa Beadles.

"It was okay." I answer grabbing a baguette that Ashton already made for me, he sure is a good brother.

"Hey, cheer up school is not that bad Van." he tells me giving me the half smile he's famous for.

I take a bite of my baguette and sigh.

"Yeah, if you ignore the idiots and the teachers and the entire school maybe it is okay." I say and drink some juice before I go to put on my black vans. I can hear Ashton chuckle from the kitchen.

I take my stuff from my locker quickly to get to class, all the people in the hallway make me cringe and I want to get out of the crowd as soon as possible. I shut my locker and start to walk fast only to get pushed by someone making me drop all my books.

God damnit I'm 100% done with school..

"Watch where you're going." Someone says harshly and cold before keep on walking forwards.

Excuse me...?

"You don't have to be so rude idiot.." I say quietly. The guy shoot me a glance back shaking his head, his green eyes send me shivers through my whole body. His brown hair looks messy yet perfect, bloody hell this guy is gorgeous. He gives me a smirk leaving me with my books all over the place.

I hear how the front door opens and I immediately recognize Ashton's voice.

"ASH MUM SAID WE HAVE TO ORDER PIZZA, SHES WORKING LATE TONIGHT." I inform him half yelling, half screaming from my room upstairs. My parents are divorced, I've basically never even seen my father, my mum raised both me and ash by herself which I really admire. I just thought that my dad was a prick.

"Wow she can talk." I hear someone else say and Ashton chuckles.

"Don't be a prick Zac." Ashton answers.

Zac? What to heck? who's this Zac guy and why didn't Ashton tell me he was going to bring a friend home today?

All these thoughts goes through my brain as I walk down the stairs finding my brother and wHAT.

I almost let out a scream, I just can't believe this. What, no I do not approve!

"Uhm.. Van.. You okay?" Ashton asks watching my terrified yet surprised face. I nod trying to get my self together but inside I'm screaming so loud that you could hear me from china. The guy from today stands in front of me. The guy that made me look like an total idiot today making me drop all my books in the hallway and then walked away without even a simple 'I'm sorry'. THE GUY THATS EXTREMELY HOT OHMYGOD WHATS GOING ON, OKAY VANESSA GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER.

"yeah, yeah I'm fine. I didn't know that you two are.. friends?" I say giving Ashton a glare.

"We have a group project we have to do together, so you're going to see Zac a lot more sis." Ashton answers taking the phone from the table in front of him.

...Great.

" I order and maybe you two could go get the pizza?" Ashton suggests. I quickly give him a death stare.

"No."

"Sure"

We both say at the same time.

What? He really wants to go with me? I instantly feel stupid for saying no and a small pink flush spreads over my cheeks.

"I mean sure.." I say and Ashton gives us a smile and walks away. I can swear that Zac is smirking at me, I feel it.

On our way to the pizzeria I'm awkwardly quiet. I try to focus at the orange almost red leaves that are simply falling from the trees.

"You know pretending I'm not here won't make me disappear right?" Zac suddenly says causing me to almost jump in surprise.

"I can always dream right." I snap instantly earning a chuckle from him.

What's so funny? this guy is weird yeeeez..

"Soo, you like pi.." he continues but something stop him, or someone to be more exact.

"I'm gonna beat the fuck out of you I swear!" I hear a voice yell behind me. I turn around and see a teenager about two years older than me coming closer, behind the unknown guy comes two more.

"RUN" Zac says to me and he grabs my hand as we both start running fast as heck.

"HEY COME BACK HERE!" the voice behind me shouts. Zac and I both try to run faster and as we pass the bridge Zac push me into some bushes making me fall and I instantly feel something wet spread all over my body. It takes me a second to realize what's going on. Fuck, I'm in a lake.
