Disbelief

Enough

Sans eyes snapped open as he felt his body jolt. He looked around and saw that he was back in his old room in Snowdin and sighed. "The kid got bored again huh?" he mumbled as he laid there staring at the ceiling. He knew this morning all too well, he had gone through it more times than he could count and this day only went one of two ways usually. Either the kid wanted to make friends with everyone and would spare Papyrus or......or the kid would be homicidal and murder Papyrus in cold blood. While mulling over those thoughts he heard the all too familiar sound of Papyrus stomping up the stairs to wake him. His door slammed open as Papyrus burst into his room yelling. "LAZY BONES OF COURSE YOUR STILL ASLEEP WE HAVE TO GO AND RE-CALIBRATE OUR PUZZLES, TODAY COULD BE THE DAY THAT I THE GREAT PAPYRUS WILL CATCH A HUMAN AND BECOME PART OF THE ROYAL GUARD!" Sans rubbed his eye sockets and grinned at papyrus "Wow that's "Puzzling" i swore my plan was to sleep in today." Papyrus froze and looked at Sans "SANS IT'S TO EARLY IN THE MORNING TO START YOUR INSUFFERABLE PUNS" Sans shrugged as he pulled his on his favorite blue jacket and shuffled down stairs into the kitchen. He looked in the fridge and pulled out his favorite bottle of ketchup and deposited into the inside pocket of his jacket. Papyrus walked in and grabbed Sans by his hood and asked "WONT YOU HAVE SOME SPAGHETTI BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR YOUR POST?" Sans brushed Papyrus's hand away and said "Na bro I've got my Ketchup im good for the day" Papyrus sighed and shook his head and said "SANS YOU CANT JUST DRINK KETCHUP FOR FOOD YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GOOD MEAL LIKE MY 5 STAR SPAGHETTI NEYHEHEHEHEHE." Sans smiled and looked at Papyrus "I'll be fine see you later bro" Sans walked out of the kitchen and stepped out the front door looking out on Snowdin. "Heh im back guys" he mumbled as he set off for his post. He walked behind a tree to use one of his "shortcuts" and appeared at his post. He walked in and sat down and looked at his watch. It was 7:00 the kid didn't show up until 10:00 so he figured he would catch a few hours to nap. When he woke up he looked at his watch again. 9:55 Bingo. He stood up and used another shortcut to get next to the door to the ruins. After a few minutes he herd the door to the ruins open up and heard footsteps. He walked out from his hiding spot and started to follow the kid. He stepped on the huge branch that he always stepped on and snapped it and caught up to the kid at the "bars" his brother set up. He walked up to them and said "Human don't you know how to greet a new pal? Turn around and Shake my hand." He put his hand out and the human grabbed it. From the look on the humans face the day was not going to look good for him. He zoned out for most of the day having gone through this countless times. Eventually he sat at his post and started to cry. Paps was going to die again and he was going to do nothing about like he usually did. After crying for about 5 minutes he looked at his watch. 3:45. Paps always died at 3:50. Suddenly something within him snapped. "Iv had Enough of this" Sans growled, this time he was going to do something about this. He used his shortcut to the place that Papyrus always confronted the human. He started running and heard Papyrus say. "HUMAN I WELCOME YOU WITH OPEN ARMS." NO! "Sans yelled as he pushed Papyrus out of the way. He felt the human slash him and fell to the ground SANS! Papyrus yelled as he ran over to Sans. He picked Sans up and looked into his eyes with disbelief. WHY DID YOU DO THAT SANS? "Heh someone's got to look after you bro im sorry I didn't do this sooner and I'm sorry I can't be here to protect you anymore." "DON'T SAY THAT SANS YOUR GOING TO BE OK JUST HOLD ON WHILE I GET SOME HELP."  "Paps you know I can't be saved I-I just want you to know that I love you and that you're the coolest bro I know." Tears streamed down Papyruses face as he felt sans slowly turn to dust. Sans gave one last feeble smile as he finally turned to dust. The human stood there in shock. This wasn't supposed to happen Sans wasn't supposed to die yet. The human ran past Papyrus as Papyrus cried over Sans jacket and his pile of dust.
