A Day out

My mom woke me up at 8:00 this morning and I was extremely tired.

"Ma it's too early. I'm so tired"

"That's because you stayed up until 4 in the morning!! Get your lazy butt up and get ready, because we're leaving at 9:30 Karla."

I groan and lazily drag myself out of bed.

"Where are we even going?? I ask curiously.

"Out."

"Come on give me more than that." I complain.

"Just get ready."

I decide it is probably a good idea to shower. Afterwords I put on my makeup. Winged eyeliner is my essential. Once I finish my full face makeup, I check my phone and the time reads "9:22"

I go back into my room and dig around trying to find something to wear.

"FIVE MINUETS CAMILA!!" Shouts my dad.

"OKAY DAD!!!" I yell back from downstairs.

I check the weather.
"57°" Man that's cold for Florida.

I pick up a gray turtle neck and put on high waisted jeans.

"NOW KARLA!!!" shouts my mom.

"COMING!!!

I walk upstairs and notice my family putting their shoes on.

"It's about time." says my little sister Sofi.

"Oh be quiet you." I respond back.

We all head out to the car and I check my phone for any messages from Lauren.

None.

Well I mean it is 6:30 there so I doubt she's awake. The car ride consisted of Sofi and I laughing in the back, while my mom and dad talked amongst themselves.

"Where are we going??" I ask for the 100th time.

"Yeah I wanna know too." says Sofi.

"We're going out to eat, then we might go out for milkshakes if you guys want." says my mom.

"YAYY!!" says Sofi.

"Oh my god fun!" I say excitingly.

I do wonder why my mom and dad are doing this though. They don't usually do this. What's going on?

"Is there any particular reason you're doing this?" I ask my parents.

"Nope" says my dad.

"Oh alright." I respond.

We pull up to the small diner and everyone unbuckles and heads out. It took us about an hour to get here. It's a cute little diner though. Once we get inside my phone dings.

"Hey Camz"
"Hi Lo"
"What are you & your fam up to today?"
"Oh we're at a diner right now about to eat breakfast, but then we are gonna go out for milkshakes. I'm really tired though."
"No kidding. We talked for a while last night."
"Ya but it was nice to finally hear your voice and be able to feel like I'm talking to you in person."
"Yes I agree.❤️"
