Chapter Twenty-Two | Detention?

I sat down in my seat, ignoring all the weird stares from some of the other students in the classroom.

"Catherine! Where were you?" Raveleen whisper-screamed.

"Well, what happened was I may have sort of..." I trailed off once I noticed Mr. Johnson was glaring at me from the corner of his eye.

Raveleen got the hint too, and went back to taking notes.

Wow, I'm probably going to fail this class. I thought.

After the class ended, I started to walk to my second period alone when Raveleen caught up to me.

"Catherine? What in the world did you do while you were gone?" Raveleen practically shouted at me.

"Not now, okay?" I breathed out frustratingly.

"Ok. Huh, I haven't seen Denise today." Raveleen said.

I gulped.

"Oh," She chuckled and clicked her tongue. "I get it now. I know what happened."

"Y-You do?" I stuttered.

"I'm not stupid. Plus, you know me. I've done it before. Why do you think I put that blade in your bag?" Raveleen chuckled quietly to herself.

"Why you little-" I was suddenly interrupted.

"Hey, you should be thanking me, okay? If I didn't do that for you, your lifeless body would probably be dumped somewhere." Raveleen said with a blank face.

"Oh, that reminds me," Raveleen suddenly said. "Please don't tell me that you just dumped her body just on the ground for everyone to see."

"No, I threw it in a bush."

"Which one?" Raveleen asked.

"Which one? Why are you-"

"Never mind. I'll talk to you later." Raveleen said, sounding a little frustrated.

After school, I walked slowly to the front of the school, terrified that someone was going to find out what I had done. How would I get punished?

Would I be thrown into prison like the real world? Or would I be sentenced to death?

As soon as I reached the front of the school, everything appeared to be normal. Everyone was walking home, and chatting, as if a murder had never happened.

I was just about take a huge sigh of relief when I heard a girl scream.

Her red pigtails flew up, as if it was scared itself.

At this point, I started to run back home, hopefully the other students thought that I was running away to go get some help.

I thought I heard someone say, "Catherine, where are you going?" but maybe it was just me.

I opened the door and practically flew in, not even questioning why the door wasn't locked.

"Well, hello, Catherine. And why were you in such a hurry?" Raveleen said smugly.

"This is all your fault." I said.

"And how so?" Raveleen smirked.
