A knock sounded on my door after I showered. I knew who it was but didn't bother to open it since I didn't want to see him.
I hardly fought with Tanner. I felt bad that I snapped at him but he was just being real unreasonable and I couldn't take it.
The door opened as I buried my face in my hands. I feel him sit beside me and place an arm around my back.
"Hey Kath," He started
"Don't. Don't try to apologize." I stopped him.
"I'm not apologizing. I mean what I've said. But I didn't mean to take out all my anger on you." I hate you. Is what I wanted to say to him. But the other part of me was already on its way to accept his apology. I could never be angry at my best friend if he apologizes.
"Then tell me why you both looked like sworn enemies just now."
"I don't know, it's complicated? You know I hated him the first time I saw him and I guess that's the same for him too." He sighed. It's complicated? No way he's saying that. I knew it wasn't the truth. He was hiding something but I let it slide. I was too tired to even argue anymore. I laid back on my bed and closed my eyes.
"Hey, you know I'll be staying at your house the next few months right?" He said, breaking the moment of silence between us.
"What?" I asked in disbelief.
"Since my dad still has some work to do, he can't move here right now so I don't have a house to live in. That's why he contacted your parents and they welcomed me here." He answered.
"But you travel from your house to your school everyday. What's the difference if you travel from your house to my school? They aren't very far apart." I sat up and frowned at him.
"It's far," he winked at me, his grey eyes shining. He did this on purpose.
"Lies," I rolled my eyes before laying down again. "Wait, but we don't have a spare room for you..."
"Well, why do you think I'm here then?" He smirked as he lay down beside me.
A smile unwillingly formed on my face. I was going to see him everyday from now on. "Get out of my bed. You're taking the mattress." I kicked him jokingly.
"Yes darling," he replied laughing, as he went to the storage to get the mattress.

Well, it's the next day. Guess where I am? The fashion runway that I've always dreamed of. Slow-mo hair flips and sunglasses. That's right, everyone make way for... Tanner. Don't blame me, I'm just having my moment while everyone makes a pathway for Tanner and I to walk through the aisle. Mainly for Tanner but... You get the point.
We just arrived in school and I can already see all the girls drooling over him, even while we were at the carpark. Gross. We met up with the Nayla and the others and they were shocked to see him. Especially Tori. I'm so excited to see her and Tanner everyday now. I wonder what's gonna happen.
"Hey guys!" I greeted them, hugging all of them and giving Tori a little squeeze.
"Sup," Tanner said as he waved to the girls.
"Woah Tanner, you seriously transferring? Even though it's your last year? I thought you were kidding when you told us yesterday." Teresa asked, amused.
