I walk into Mrs. Devins' class just in time.

"Baby, you made it...... Barely"

"Shut up Kendrick" I say rolling my eyes and pouting

"I'm sorry baby" he says as I dodge his kisses

"Fine" he says turning around

"Wait come back" I laugh and pout

"Like I thought" he laughs as he kisses me

"Sit down everyone"

Class is pretty boring today so most of us text the whole period. When the bell rings Mrs. Devins asks me to stay after class.

"Yes Mrs. Devins"

"Zeearriah you are one of my top students but you are slacking a little, why is that ?"

"I don't know ma'am . But I will try harder . I promise"

"Alright I believe you . But i really asked you to stay today because Kendrick isn't doing too well and that's your boyfriend. You need to get on to him and help him if possible."

"He isn't doing well? He's a really good writer. What does he have in here?"

"Mrs. Devins I ask him all the time does he need help and he'll make it seem like it's a piece of cake. But don't worry Mrs. Devins I'll handle it."

"Okay, but don't be too hard on him. Do you need a pass to class?"

"Yes."

I walk into Mr. Rice's class and show him my pass. I go straight to my seat without looking up from the ground.

"Stop lying to me. I know we ain't cool like that no more but I know when you lying"

"Aight. Whatever"

I take my phone out of my pocket and text Shanya.

ZeeNBee: Be at my house at 3:45 . And you're staying the night. DAQ (Don't Ask Questions)
NyEPie: Okay .

I don't say much the rest of the day. I barely touch my lunch. So, when the final bell rings I am relieved. I run to my car, almost dropping my notebook. I get in my car and go straight home .

"Good" I lie as I run up the stairs to avoid anymore questions

I wait for Nye who arrives on time. She never fails. I love her.

"Wassup .?" She asked already knowing something is wrong

"I think Kendrick's cheating on me or doing something wrong"

"Where's the evidence cause that's the only way you would say something like this to me"

"Okay so you know I'm always on him about his work , and he usually tells me if he doesn't get something, but lately he's been telling me he got it and doesn't need any help and declines my study sessions, but Mrs. Devins told me that he's barely passing- "

"But he's not and that's not the only thing....."

"For the past couple of weeks I've seen a car SIMILAR to his outside of Jayciana's house"
