I stared at the tombstone, holding back sobs.  My best friend...the one I never confessed my feelings for. Gone, forever.  Matthew Korklan, WWE wrestler, Evan Bourne.  I knelt by the grave and placed my hand on the smooth marble.

"Matt I'm so sorry I never told you about how much I loved you. Now it's too late to know if you ever felt the same way."

My father, Hunter Helmsley, walked up behind me.  "Sammi? It's time to go." He said softly, resting a hand on my shoulder.

"Can I have a few more minutes dad, please?" I questioned, not looking up from the fresh dirt.

"Sure sweety." My dad said and walked over to our car.

I opened the bag I had carried with me and pulled out a laminated, folded letter.  Inside I wrote how much I loved him.  I wedged it in the dirt so it wouldn't blow away.  "Hope Heaven has mail service." I whispered and walked to the car

I went back to the cemetery a week later.

"What the-" The note was gone! "No!" I sighed in anguish.

I got down on my hands and knees and searched in the rain and mud.  While searching I found an envelope.  It was addressed to Samantha Helmsly, from Matthew Korklan.

            "No way." I breathed.

I slit the envelope and unfolded the letter, something fell out but I didn't take notice to it right now.  And the letter read:

Samantha Helmsley, you are the love of my life.  I talked to your dad the day before I "died", I never died Sammi, and I need you to turn around.

I picked up the ring that had fallen out, feeling tears in my eyes.  I stood slowly and turned around.  And there stood Matthew.

"Matt!" I exclaimed, running up to him and throwing my arms around him.

He held me tightly for a moment then pulled back.  He took the ring from my hand and got down on one knee.

"Will you marry me Samantha Nicole Helmsley?" He asked taking my left hand.

"Yes!" I said, the tears threatening to fall down.

He slipped the ring on my left ring finger, stood and wrapped his arms around me.

"I love you." He said, looking into my eyes.

"I love you too." I replied, breatheless.

          Then we kissed.
