We walked for what felt like hours. I've learnt a dozen of petty things about Axel. One of those things is him being left handed, and more useless things. Only when I reached the nineteenth question did I remember something useful and important.

"Your turn." He nodded his head to me.

I thought of how I could askl him without raising too many questions and suspicions. I could also be beaten to a pulp by Axel if I cross the line. A line I don't even know anything about. But it's worth a shot.

"What's up with you and... a-and Kaden?" I stammered, suddenly regretting asking him.

He remained silent for a while but then he answered with a question. "What's up with you and Kaden?". A weird look crossed his face but as soon as I saw it, it was gone.

"Nothing. I don't even think he's my friend anymore..." I gazed up at him waiting for answer, an expression, anything. After a while I clapped hands together "Now, that I've answered, it's your turn!" I cheered, I winced at my overly enthusiastic voice.

Although I found my voice painfully annoying Axel found amusement in it from the glint of his eyes. He grinned a little, "Maybe next time, peach." He ruffled my hair.

I scowled at him. I opened my mouth to scold him for his unfairness but before I could utter a word a sudden flash of lightning cracked the sky then a loud roar of thunder. I jumped in shock, Axel's eyes widened as he scooted closer to me.

And when we thought that was it, it started to pour.

We found ourselves curled up on each other. I blinked the raindrops caught in my lashes. I laughed lightly when I saw Axel's face was made of fear, he clutched me closer to him while I just laughed away.

"Why are you laughing?" He shouted through the loud pour of rain.

I slowly pulled away from him, meeting his expression filled eyes, anger, frustration, fear, and annoyance. I just flashed him a toothy grin.

"I never though Axel the bad boy Maverick was afraid of thunder and lightning." I smirked.

He scoffed and pointed at himself. "Me. Scared? Hell no--"

Another cackle of thunder echoed. He jumped and pulled me again. I pushed him away again, playfully. I let out a hearty laugh at his antics which I find totally adorable. Wait a second... adorable? Man, I have got to be crazy for thinking that.

He scowled at me. "Please, I know you were scared too."

I raised an eyebrow. "Really?" I said, amused.

"Yes, really." He stated. "You even jumped in my arms. If I wasn't kind enough I would've pushed you away." He said cockily.

"Sounds like someone's changing the story to save his dignity." I sung. "Can't you just admit you're a scaredy cat?" I smirked again.

He rolled his eyes. "I am not a cat. I am more of the wolf type of guy."

"Really? Like the big bad wolf? Nah... you're more of the coward the cowardly dog- ish."

Raising a brow a smile crept up his lips. "Coward the cowardly dog... ish?"
I walked ahead of him. "Yeah, and also a scaredy cat."

"That's it." His strong voice said behind me. "I'll prove you I'm a wolf."
"What? You'll huff and puff and--"

He howled. As in a total wolf howl.

I spun around to tell him to stop. "Will you--" He ran towards me in a crazy speed.

I took it as instinct and ran away from him as fast as my legs could take me. It didn't take long for him to catch up with me. The sound of his footsteps splashing against the wet pavement told me his was getting near, and nearer, and even nearer--

Arms encircled around my waist. My back hit a hard chest and hot breaths tickled my neck. "Gotcha, little red." He whispered huskily.

I shrieked As he lifted me up and spun us in circles. Our laughs were mixed with the loud patter of the rain on cement. We just kept laughing and spinning until Axel went dizzy and slipped then we both fell on a puddle.

I fell backwards on him, making him groan in pain. "Oops! Sorry!"I rolled over landing beside him. We were now both drenched in rain facing the sky recieving more rain.

Axel got up first and pulled me up. Once we were on our feet we were clueless on what we should do next. The rain has settled down to a soft drizzle but the wind blew harshly. Axel's hoodie gave me warmth, but it still felt a little chilly. While I silently shivered Axel looked unfazed.

"Wanna get some ice cream?" I blurted out. Silence was never my friend, therefore whenever I encounter it I say whatever comes to my mind without thinking.

Now here we are standing before the cashier, ready to choose and pay for dairy goodness in a cup.

"Which flavour do you want?" He asked while taking out his rain soaked wallet.

"Rocky road." I stated.

He looked at me. "Rocky Road?" He ask with a ludicrous tone.

"Yeah, you got a problem with that?" I tried to size him up but sadly did not prevail.

"No. It's just that I expected you to be those vanilla type of girls. If then, I could've pulled out my choco-mint chip moves." He shrugged.

I laughed. It was funny how he just compared us to a bunch of cliché books. "I tasted it before, Xavier gave it to me. I just didn't like it that much."

His hands dropped to his sides, jaw ticked, fist clenched, and a look on his face that screamed 'jealousy'. "Xavier?" His voice came low and menacing as his right eye twitch in annoyance.

I cracked a smile. "My brother."

He let out a breath of relief making me laugh. I held it back, though. But it only cause me to laugh even harder and snorted suddenly.

"That's cute." He murmured.

My laughter grew wider and wilder, hiccups and more snorts flew past my lips.

He scrunched up his nose but still held amusement in his eyes.

"Now thats just disgusting."
