"Oh my god, it's really you." Normani said, tears filling the rims of her eyes.

"How many years has it been?" Dinah asked. "Almost twelve years, fuck it's been almost twelve years." Normani said, gently wiping her tears. Normani laughed, "I had a feeling it was you." Dinah smiled, "why?" Normani shook her head, smiled and pointed at Dinah, "the way you said, princess. I just knew it was you. You used to call me that when we were kids."

Dinah was completely in awe, "yeah, you're right. I remember that, you came into kindergarten wearing little dress shoes and pantyhose. Look at you now, still dressing like a princess." Normani was blushing, "I also still have this scar." She placed the tip of her index finger on her scar. Dinah shook her head, "I'm so sorry." Normani stopped her, "oh no, don't worry about it. That was all me, I wanted to be just like you, I wanted to be brave." She poked Dinah's side.

Dinah shrugged, "I'm not that brave." Normani smiled and laughed, "you went down to the bottom of the deep end to save me, that's pretty brave to me." Dinah felt her cheeks rush with redness, "I couldn't let my best friend drown in my presence." Dinah began to laugh. Normani shoved Dinah's shoulder playfully, "I probably would've haunted you in your sleep if you would've let me die down there." The two began to laugh in sync.

Tali returned from outside, "seems like you two have gotten to know each other." Normani smiled, "it's more like a reunion." Dinah nodded and looked over at Normani, "yeah, a reunion." Tali looked confused, "a reunion? What's going on here?"

"We were close friends as kids." Normani said. Dinah's cheeks began to get red, "best friends. We were best friends." Tali nodded, she looked a bit irritated, "well, Dinah and I are best friends as of now." Tali laughed to ease the tension. Normani moved her hair behind her shoulder, "oh, well that's nice." Dinah felt the unnecessary tension radiating off of Tali, she wanted to end it quickly.

"So, the wedding!" Dinah mentioned, clapping her hands together. Dinah then realized what she just said. The wedding. She thought to herself, "you're getting married." Dinah said to Normani. Normani shook her head and smiled, "I am." Dinah then realized who Normani was marrying, she was getting married to Sean.

Her wrists, they're bruised. He did it. He really did it. Dinah said in her head.

"Well, let's get down to the planning. We already spoke to your fiancée and he had some splendid ideas." Tali said cheerfully. Dinah snapped back into reality, "Normani, I'm sorry to ask but, what do you really know about Sean?" Tali smiled and quickly said, "give me a second, Normani." Normani nodded, "mhm."

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Tali snapped, grabbing Dinah by the forearm. Dinah whispered sharply, "we're going to let her marry this abusive asshole? We can't do this, Tali." Tali shook her head, "we're wedding planners, all we do is plan the damn wedding. We aren't supposed to butt into the clients personal lives."

Dinah shook her head in disappointment, "last time I checked, we were wedding planners. Not goddamn funeral directors. All we're doing is planning her funeral."

Tali bit her bottom lip, "I know Dinah, but this is how I make my living. The woman is grown, she knows what she's getting herself into, she can back out anytime she wants."

Dinah was disgusted at this point, "do you not know how abusive relationships work? It isn't that easy to just back out, Tali. That's so selfish of you to say. By the way, she isn't even that old, she's my age."
