I can feel the salty breeze blow through my hair as I sit on a rock watching the glittering ocean as the sun sets. I can't stop thinking tomorrow I will meet my future husband and future king of Atlantis. I wonder what is he like? Would we get along? What if-. My thoughts were cut off by the sound of water splashing into rocks.

"Hey, Kelda" my friend Cordelia greets me.

"Hi," I say back without looking at her.
"I hear you're getting married. So who is the lucky guy?"

"Prince Kai of the Pacific Ocean."

"Oh my god I hear he is quite the looker and he is skilled with the trident too."

I let out a sigh."Hey, are you okay?" Cordelia asks putting a hand on my shoulder with a concerned look on her face.
"No, I'm not okay. I don't want an arranged marriage. If I wanted to marry someone I would marry them for love, not allegiance... But I will do this because it's what's best for my kingdom." I explain to her.

"I know this is something you don't want but maybe you will grow to like him or even love him. I'm sure he feels the same way about this situation." I give her a small smile.

"Thanks for understanding."

"No problem. By the way, your father is looking for you."

"Okay. Let's go." I say as I slide into the cold water.

On our way back to Atlantis I hear a mysterious voice singing. I know that sound anywhere. Sirens. We must be somewhere near the Bermuda triangle. I start to swim closer towards the sound.

"Kelda what are you doing?" Cordelia whispers while following me trying to get my attention.

"Shh, I'm trying to see what's going on."

We swim up to the surface and go up behind a rock peeking over to see what's going on. I see a skeletal siren sitting on a rock singing at a large ship with mist surrounding her and the rocks. She has long black hair, a black tail, and very pale skin. She looks like the very definition of death. Multiple sirens start to climb up on the rocks and sing. I can see the ship start to turn towards them. This can't be happening. I need to stop this.
I lunged towards the ship but I feel a hand holding my arm back.

"What are you doing?" Cordelia asks with a mix of anger and concern on her face.

"I can't just sit here and watch them kill hundreds of humans. I need to do something about it!" I say while trying to get out of her grip with tears brimming my eyes.

"No. I'm not letting you risk your life out there. What am I going to do if I come back to Atlantis without you and tell your father you died because I didn't stop you? I would never forgive myself." She said as her grip tightened.

My vision becomes blurred with tears."But I can't just let them die when I could've done something to prevent it."

All of a sudden, I hear bloodcurdling screams. I slowly turn around to see a sight I wish to unseen. A sinking boat with people jumping to their deaths being attached by sirens. It was a bloodbath. I couldn't move. All I can do is sit here in shock, listening to thei screams. It's too late.

"Come on let's go!" Cordelia shouts as she pulls me with her into the water.
