Caden's P.O.V
"Mmm, marshmallows." I hear someone's muffled voice sound out, not to far away from me. I moan as I try to open my eyes but they feel too heavy to even move. So instead I slowly sit up and immediately regret it as the pounding in my head begins, throbbing through my temples. Finally I open my eyes to see the horror scene before me.
I am sitting on the rug in the lounge room with my hair everywhere, my left leg resting on the couch while the rest of my body is on the floor. I look up to see my sister, Kelsey, fast asleep on the leather couch. Her cheek is all pushed up as her head is resting on the cushion. A long trail of drool is slowly slipping from her mouth onto the floor.
"Ew, gross," I whisper quietly and go to move away from the small pool forming on the tiles. But as I scoot my bum along the ground, my leg that is on the couch knocks Kelsey and her head snaps up suddenly. She tastes her mouth a few times then scrunches up her face in disgust.
"My breath tastes like warm alcohol," she murmurs to me. I can't help the giggle that escapes my throat. She turns her head towards me, stares in astonishment, and laughs. She clamps her hands over her stomach in pain with the cramps forming in her abdomen.
"What's so funny?" I ask her, then turn around to see if there's anyone outside making funny faces. No one.
"You...Look...like SHIT!" She cries out between laughs.
I roll my eyes at her then smirk.
"Says the girl who was drooling on the couch in her sleep and calling out for marshmallows."
She stops abruptly.
"What!" she questions me and I just grinned at her.
"Hon, close your mouth when you sleep. I don't really enjoy waking up in a puddle of your spit."
She cocks her head at me not quite understanding. Then it hits her.
"Oh My God! I'm so sorry!" she begins, then Mira's voice cuts her off.
"Can you guys please shut the hell up. I don't like waking up with a massive hangover," she yawns sheepishly.
"Hangover? What do you mean?" Kelsey asks her.
Oh shit, that's right. We had the graduation party last night and we all got drunk.
I repeat the words out loud to my sister and she rubs her head as if it's too much information for her to process. Then we hear Harley. We all turn our heads to look at her. I can't help but laugh at the sight.
She's curled up on the marble kitchen bench hugging a loaf of bread. She lifts her head slowly then goes to get up, but she just ends up rolling off and onto the floor with a loud thump.
"Owwwww, fuuuuuuck," we all hear her mutter from the other side of the bench.
The three of us burst into laughter. Typical Harley. Only she would know how to start off the day. We laughed even more when her fingers curled over the edge of the countertop and pulled her back up. As her head appeared we could see that her hair was a mess and she had the most goofy look on her face. It was hilarious. Harley stood very cautiously and stumbled her way over to us.
"Why are you all stari- WHOA!" she tripped on the pot plant next to the T.V. and dove headfirst into the back of the couch.
"Rule number one of how to start your morning," we heard her muffled voice from where it had squished into the leather. "When on hangover, don't go near any plant matter as you face will end up looking like a flattened pie."
