Prologue

*Jodies POV*

I sit and wait. Wait for the perfect moment, camera in hand. The giant oak tree behind my back is cold, its leaves gold and red, rustle in the wind. There isn't any leaves on the ground yet. but there will be soon. I pull ny black pea coat tighter. It's cold. Today is the perfect day to take pictures because if the news people are right, it will be windy today. windy enough to make the leaves fall off the trees and gracefully flutter to the ground. I stand up. I can feel-no hear the wind coming. I walk onto the empty blacktop road, heels clicking after me, making the perfect harmony with the wind.

I stand taller and take in a deep breath of the crisp air. I felt a smile creep onto my face after, and I turn on the camera. its starting. Finally, the trees release there once green children. The wind carries a faint weeping noise as I imagine them crying. There branches waving goodbye to them in the cool air. And as I hold my camera up into the cold NYC air, the leaves flutter down toward me like autumn rain. And then, with one click of a button, I capture a moment of all the pretty colors...
