The Underworld

Chapter 5

I wake to the sound of my alarm beeping in my ear. I slam my hand down I on the alarm to turn it off, then I lay in bed not wanting to get up. Downstairs, I hear my mom rustling around so I get up and get dressed. What should I wear today? How about a pair of ripped jeans and a black tank top with a blue cardigan. Okay, good enough. As the brush in my hand is styling my hair, I hear my mom calling for me to hurry up. I guess I'm always in a rush. I go downstairs to eat.

"Mom, can I have a couple of friends over tonight?" I ask hoping she says yes.

"Yeah, sure. How many people?" she replies.

"Four. Carter, Alex, Marlene, and Josh." I answer.

"Okay. They can only stay until noon. Finish getting ready, we need to hurry." She says in a rush.

I scoop the rest of the eggs on my plate into my mouth. I rush upstairs to get my stuff together and brush my teeth. Running down the stairs, I almost trip. Thankfully I catch myself and go out to the car. We were off to a 20 minute drive.

"Don't forget to tell your friends what is going on and make sure that their parents are okay with it. Have a great day at school!" My mom says reassuringly.

I give her a nod as we arrive to school. In a hurry, I got out and said bye. She drives off and I'm hurrying to class. On my way there, people say "hi" to me or simply just waves at me. I just smile because I'm shy. I'm not popular or anything but I do know a lot of people.

My first class is a math class. At least I have it in the morning and not later on. As time goes by, classes go by and it's time for lunch. Yay! Food! My favorite part of the day. Finally, I can tell my friends about what happened and if they want to stay the night to experience it. Hopefully their parents say yes. I'm sure they'll agree since it's Friday.

As I get my lunch, I see the table they're at and go to sit by them.

"Hey guys, you want to stay the night tonight? I've got something to show you and tell you about, but it's too long to explain here." I ask and then explain.

They call their parents and all of them said yes. Now I can give them a little scare. So Carter, Alex, Marlene, and Josh are coming. They are couples and all but at least they can have some alone time together without being confronted by their parents. Carter and Alex are together, and Marlene and Josh are together. I'm the odd one out. If I had a boyfriend, my mom wouldn't care what I do as long as I don't get deflowered.

Well, it's planned so I text my mom that I'm bringing home four people. Lunch is over and I go to the last class for the day, which is art. We all have that class together, so it makes things easier to leave. We all walk there together and when we get there, the teacher let us have a free day as long as we don't get out of hand. We get out at 2:50pm and its 2:15pm. My friends and I get together and I tell them about the Underworld and Blake. Of course they don't believe me, they'll just have to wait and see for themselves.
