The Chamber is a terrible place to be. It's never 100% safe. Sure, it's not as dangerous as it usually is when the characters are around, but that doesn't make it completely safe. There are threats. Many, many threats. It's like a populated city. It's not safe to be in all alone, so it's safer when there are many people around. But just like any city, it's never completely safe. Lenora could tell you all about it, but she probably wouldn't. She's lived through some terrible experiences that happened in the Chamber.
Mr. Rotcerid knows what goes on in the Chamber 24/7. He could stop any crimes from happening at any time. Really, he could have anyone eliminated if he wanted. And quite frankly, there are definitely a few people that he wants gone. We could all think of one person that could just... Disappear.
But just because he can eliminate any person, does that mean he would?
If you had that kind of power, would you eliminate someone? Someone that you think is better off dead. Someone that you wouldn't miss. Someone else would miss them, but you wouldn't. Would you take a life to make yours better?
You can answer that question with ease, right?
Mr. Rotcerid can't.
Lenora had always wondered about Mr. Rotcerid. Is he the type of guy that would steal someone's life to benefit his own? Or would he think twice, and leave people alone? Lenora spent most of her alone time spying on Mr. Rotcerid.
The chamber was mostly a place for break time only, unless the author was done for the day and everyone had to exit through the Chamber. They never really left the Chamber. The staff just went to a different section of the Chamber.
Whenever the author puts pen to paper, the employees and Mr. Rotcerid go in a cryptic place. Lenora called it the Control Room. It's the place where you can see what's happening in the story. Mr. Rotcerid spends most of his time in the Control Room. He watches the characters closely on a big screen.
Lenora had always tried to find hidden cameras and mark their locations. She wanted to be prepared to escape if the need arose. After many days of spying on Mr. Rotcerid and tracking the cameras, Lenora figured everything out. Every camera was connected to a screen in the Control Room. Mr. Rotcerid usually only pays attention to the big screen, but others focus on the smaller screens.
Lenora wanted to tell Krystal and Tara, but she didn't know if they would believe her. Maybe they would, but maybe they wouldn't. Lenora decided to wait and make sure she was right about everything.
As the author came close to the end of the chapter that Tara and Krystal were in, Lenora waited for them nervously. She was becoming impatient. Lenora was trying to sort the little puzzle in her head to see if she should tell them what she knew or not as she waited.
But then another question interrupted her thoughts. Were Tara and Krystal considered as her friends? Or were they just saying they were going to help, simply because they felt bad? Lenora crossed her arms and tapped her foot, thinking and trying to sort out this strange puzzle.
Probably a little of both. As the author put the pen down, Tara and Krystal exit the chapter and everyone returned back to the Chamber. Lenora thought a good place to discuss this matter was somewhere nice and peaceful. Maybe even somewhere private.
Lenora then decided it would be a good idea to discuss this privately so no one could hear what they were talking about. "Tara! Krystal! Over here!" Lenora waved her hand as they walked off the set. Tara smiled and skipped to Lenora giddily, and Krystal joined Lenora and Tara by just walking casually and on her phone.
Lenora decided to start a conversation so it wouldn't be as awkward. "So, how was it? Was it nice? Great?" Lenora said awkwardly. "I loved it! I love when the author puts me in a specific room and takes control of my specific actions!" Tara said happily, her eyes showed excitement.
Krystal looked up and shrugged. "Eh, could be better, but it's eh." Lenora nodded her head. Well, here goes nothing, she thought. "So uh guys, I have been studying Mr. Rotcerid recently, and I think we should discuss this somewhere private."
Krystal looked up from her phone and tucked it in her pocket. "By study, you mean spying and discussing so no one could hear us, right? We can go to my place, it's very dark and no one really comes around much." Krystal shrugged.
"Is it safe?" Tara asked. Krystal rolled her eyes. "Why would I be living there if it wasn't safe?"
"Okay, break it up you two. No fighting right now." Lenora could sense that there would be a possible fight between these two, but that wasn't the point.
"Lenora's right. Let's go!" Tara said. "Well then, Krystal, lead the way." Krystal began to walk to her house, and Tara and Lenora followed her.
