“Aimee!” I shouted at the retreating blonde head in front of me. She turned around and waved. I smiled and walked faster towards her.

“Hey Gurrll! How’s your first day going?” I thought about her question.

“It’s been….Interesting.” I laughed.

“You’re in a good mood. What happened? Did you finally manage to get it on with some random person in a janitors’ closet?” Aimee said bursting with enthusiasm. I rolled my eyes.

“Let’s remember who we are talking about Aimee. Not you, me” I giggled. “God woman you’re such a whore.” I winked at her. She laughed

“I know right?” She waved a hand.

“Anyway,” I continued, “How was your day?”

“Pretty awesome. My classes are easy and everyone’s pretty chill.”

“That’s awesome. Hey I have to go to my locker, you wanna come?” She shook her head.

“More walking? You know who you are talking to right? Geez” She rolled her eyes.

“Okay. I’ll catch up with you later.” I called over my shoulder, as I walked away.

I reached my locker and turned the dial on the lock quickly, opening it without any trouble. I grabbed my lunch and put it in my backpack. I shut my locker and headed back to the cafeteria.

“Hey Tab!” I turned around to see Ace a little ways off in the distance, and coming my way.

“Sup?” I nodded a greeting. Ace glanced upwards with his eyes. “Not in a literal way…” I mumbled.

“I know.” He said rolling his eyes. “And nothing. What about you? What’s the happs?”

“Oh my goodness…you did not just say that.” I said laughing.

“Oh my gosh, like I totally just did!” He replied in a high pitched gay tone, while he pretended to flip his hair over his shoulder and look at his nails. I shook my head.

“Heading to lunch.” I replied to his question.

“Really now? I wouldn’t have noticed.” He said with a sarcastic tone. “Hey, why don’t you eat lunch with me?” I shrugged.

“Okay, when?” I asked.

“Right now….?” He looked at me like I was stupid.

“I don’t know….I have to check my schedule.” I said looking down.

“What do you have to do on the first day of school?” He asked.

“I was kidding, sheesh, do you take everything so seriously?” I asked raising an eyebrow at him.

“Yep, now come on!” he said grabbing my sleeve and dragging me to the front of the school.

“Are you always so pushy?” Ace nodded.

“Do you always ask so many questions?” I nodded. We walked a little bit more until Ace stopped under a big oak tree. “Okay this is where we are eating.” Ace said dropping my sleeve and his backpack. I plopped down on the ground, and he fallowed suit.

I sighed and closed my eyes, while tilting my head up; the soft breeze caressed my cheeks. I opened my eyes and found Ace staring at me.

“What?” I asked. Ace shook his head.

“Nothing! Nothing at all.” I rolled my eyes. I grabbed my backpack and took the apple crisps that I sliced out of my sack lunch. “Apple slices?” Ace asked like a dummy.

“Duh.” I said giving him a sarcastic look.

“I want one….” He mumbled. I rolled my eyes.

“Now Ace, ask nicely.” I said sarcastically. Ace looked at me like I was crazy.

“No. Give me an apple!” Ace commanded. I responded by sticking half of one in my mouth and shook my head. Ace pouted.

“Fine!” he shouted and launched himself at me. I did a little squeal as he hit me with enough force to knock me onto my back. I was laughing as I tried to sit up, but Ace was to quick and got up and ran away with my apples.

“Hey jerk get back here!!” I yelled as he ran off. I rolled my eyes as I saw his backpack laying on the ground next to mine. Fine if he is going to take something of mine, then I will take something of his, I thought as I slung our backpacks onto my shoulder, and started walking back into the school.
