I've always been the good girl, a good daughter, and a good role model to my two younger brothers. My family isnt ordinary, we have a name to keep. We own a well-known company in the field of merchandise such as clothes and shoes, anything in line with fashion. Im 17 by the way and Dad told me that on my debut will also be my engagement party to a certain guy, more specifically the son of a stock-holder in a great company or the owner itself. Im not really sure and although I dont like this kind of set-up, being tied with a guy I barely know til death do us apart. But as Ive told you Im a good daughter who will do anything for my parents. Besides, i dont really believe in LOVE. I mean, I know that my parents have this commitment with each other, they care for each other... but it doesnt guarantee that I can have the same future they are enjoying. I will trust my future with the business' benefit. My family's benefit.

"Alyssa, your Dad is downstairs already." Mom said, upon seeing me in this sky blue fited-halter dress with side sequence that makes my curves appear very sexy but at the same time decent. My light brown waist-length hair is braided to my left side and my face covered with light make-up and a finishing touch of pink lipgloss. She went near me and hugged me not very tight. She's kinda sensitive and emotional regarding this fixed-marriage thingy. I never complained about it but she's my mom, she knew me better than myself.

"You'll be fine. Jackson is a nice kid."

"So the name is Jackson. Sure mom, I know dad knows how to pick a great man. Lets go down?"

"Sure baby."

So this is the night....to meet my future husband. Dad, Alex and Allen are downstairs, with their tux that brings out their manliness. I smiled at them hiding all my anxieties.

We drove into a fancy restaurant wherein the meet-ups will be held. My hands are sweating... Too many "what-ifs" flooded my mind. But I smiled on my outer appearance easing all the rumble in my head. I wish Dad really knows how to pick a great man, coz til death do us apart is such a long time...

"Mister Li." Dad said cheerfully while shaking a chinky man. I bet he's chinese or korean..

"Mister Viel, finally!" Then the two couples collide.

I was at the back of my twin brothers while strolling my eyes searching for the possible guy to be.... and then I saw a guy sitting at the couch eyeing me. I lower my head. Its kinda intimidating to be stared at that intently.

"This is my daughter, Alyssa Genevieve. The eldest and our soon to be bride." Dad said still in his cheerful voice.

"She's perfect. By the way, I am Mrs. Li, you can call me Aunt Sandara." The chinky woman said. She's pretty.

I smiled at her.

"Thank you. Your very pretty as well."

I met their family, It wasnt really Jackson, his real name is Jae Li. In english, Jackson. After the dinner, we are told to have a little get to know at the balcony. He was a gentleman and he is very tall and sweet-scented. He looks like his mom but I bet he got his dad's height. When we are in the balcony, it was complete silence not until...

"I dont agree with this."

I was shocked. Obviously! I dont know what to say.

"Kidding. Actually, I dont have a choice. So im stuck in this set up. How about you?"

"Your kinda talkative for a guy. Dont you think?"

"Im only talkative to you. But never to anyone else."

"Ow. Well,as for me I agree to this setup. I have a choice but I wouldnt dare disobey my parents. I love them so much."

"Well, I guess I'll be stuck with you for like...... eternity?"
