Chapter 16
We'd spent the next day doing pretty much nothing in Birmingham because the boys had the day off meaning Brad could take me out later. James and Connor had no idea but Brad decided to tell Tristan so he could cover with us along with Charlea and Sara. 2 hours before the set time for the date Charlea and I left the boys and Sara so I could start getting ready.
I jumped in the shower trying to be as quick as possible but I couldn't bring myself to get out. It was so warm and comforting. Eventually I pulled myself out of the shower and dried my hair slipping on my pyjamas so Charlea could do my hair and make up. She curled my hair into ringlets and delicately applied make up on my face. She decided it would be best to go for the natural look but with a bold eye design to make them stand out.
(A/N outfit: http://www.polyvore.com/my_chance_vamps/set?id=96662252) After she was done I slipped on my dress, leather jacket and shoes before turning to look in the mirror. We heard someone knocking at the door so I hid in the bathroom in case it was Connor or James. I listened in to the conversation but as soon as Charlea could answer the door I heard Tristans voice.
"I need to make sure the hoe is good enough for my bro" he shouted walking into the room. I laughed and opened the bathroom door to see a very confused Tristan. As soon as he noticed where I was his jaw dropped and his eyes widened.
"Y...y...You look flawless" he barely whispered. His reaction was priceless, I smiled back at him laughing at the way he reacted.
"Is the hoe good enough?" I joked striking a pose and laughing at him.
"I'm starting to think the bro isn't good enough" he mumbled but laughed back at me.
"Is Brad ready yet?" I asked, the spark something flashed across Tristans features but he quickly covered it up with a smile before I could figure out what it was.
"He'll be here any minute now" he said grinning as we heard a knock on the door. Brad stood in the door wearing black skinny jeans and a light blue shirt, I had to admit he looked hot. I walked into view and his jaw dropped but his reaction wasn't as good as Tristans, there was something missing.
"You ready to go?" He asked interrupting my thoughts.
"Yeah, see you guys later" I replied waving to Tristan and Charlea as we walked out the room. As soon as we were out of sight Brad grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him, I felt a smile creep onto my lips. His hand rested on my waist and I felt the butterflies in my stomach again.
"You look beautiful tonight by the way" he said winking at me and my smile broadened.
"Thank you, you don't look bad yourself" I replied winking back at him. It was still light outside due to it being the middle of summer and the temperature was perfect, not to hot not to cold. We were walking down the street towards a park when it struck me, I had no idea where we were going.
"Brad are you going to tell me what's happening?" I asked.
"Nope, but we'll be there soon" he grinned directing me through the park gates. I could see the sun ahead of us making its descent, signalling the beginning of the night. We climbed a small hill and when we reached the top a small picnic basket was set on top of a checkered blanket surrounded by candles.
"Brad, this is amazing! It's so beautiful, thank you so much" I gushed as he lead me over to the picnic blanket. We sat down together. I was speechless as I looked over the park in front if us, from the top of the hill you could see nothing but countryside. The magnificent views were astonishing.
"I'm glad you like it" he grinned looking into my eyes. I saw mischievous look flicker through his eyes and before I knew it Brad was throwing grapes at me.
"What are you doing? You're so weird," I gasped through my laughter. I gave him a light shove but maybe it was a little too hard as he began to roll back wards down the hill. I could see he was laughing so I ran down the hill after him. I was running faster than I thought because just as I got nearer to him I tripped over and rolled into something hard. I felt Brads hands on my waist as he turned me around so I was face to gave with him again. We did nothing but laugh for the next couple of minutes until we managed to compose ourselves.
We walked back up the hill hand in hand and ate the rest of the picnic Brad had bought with him. It was amazing, we packed away the left over food and rubbish just in time to watch the sunset.
"Elle," Brad said as we stared out into the distance, his arm made its way around my waste and he pulled me closer, I was beginning to like Brad even more by the second.
"Yes Brad?" I asked, I could literally feel my heart jumping out of my chest as I felt his eyes drink in my features.
"Tell me about your past?" He asked making the statement sound more like a question.
"What do you want to know?" I replied, I didn't really want to go into full detail about everything I'd told Connor but he should at least know something.
"Your friends, your family, anything you feel comfortable sharing with me" his voice was getting quieter and quieter as the park was quickly dimming. Soon our only light source would be the candles Brad had set out.
"I never really had any friends until I met you guys, everyone else just used me" I whispered looking away from him.
"You must have had someone, even when you were little" he said lifting my chin so I was looking into his mesmerising chocolate brown eyes again.
"Well there was this one guy, we went to primary school together and when we moved up to secondary school together we didn't know anybody else. We kind of stuck together and we were really close for ages but he moved to America a couple of years ago. I haven't spoken to him since and I really miss him sometimes." I replied, I saw jealousy flash quickly through his eyes as he listened to what I was saying.
"What was his name?" He asked.
"Elyar Fox," I said sheepishly knowing Brad would recognise the name. (A/N Sorry guys, I just love Elyar, if you don't know who he is check out his YouTube channel)
"Oh, I know him, he does covers on YouTube doesn't he?" He said. I nodded and sighed remembering how we used to spend every day together just singing and laughing. "I'm sure there's a way of getting in touch with him"
"I would really love that! But for now I just want to spend time with you" I smiled as I saw Brads eyes light up. We spent the next couple of hours sharing embarrassing stories with each other until we decided it was time to head back to the hotel.
"Elle before we leave, there's been something I've been meaning to ask you" Brad began, I nodded and gestured for him to carry on as butterflies filled my stomach. "I was wondering, only if you want, but do you... I mean would you like... do you wanted to make this official?" He stumbled over his words, pointing between us and finally getting out what he wanted to say.
"Is this your way of asking me to be your girlfriend?" I giggled.
"Honestly, I understand if you don't like me like that but we don't have to tell anyone if you don't want to. It's just I really, really like you and I know what Connor's like. I mean he loves you more than he loves chips and he really cares about you..." He rambled on.
"Brad... Brad, shut up for a second" I said as he continued to go on about Connor and other random things. He finally stopped talking and stared into my eyes, searching for an answer. "I would love to be your girlfriend" I said excitedly. His face immediately lit up, grins spread across our faces as we looked at each other.
As soon as we got back to the hotel, Brad lead me to my door and smiled cheekily at me. "I had a really great time tonight," he said.
"Me too, thank you so much" I replied, he leaned into kiss me and I felt his warm lips on mine again, I felt the spark ignite in my stomach. However the kiss didn't last long because someone stepped into the hallway.
"What the hell is going on?" It was Connor and he sounded angry.
