Please note this was my first story, so it started off as bland
Chapter 1: Rest at last
Harry, Ron, and Hermione were sitting in the gryffindoor common room sitting by the fire the night after the victory. Along with them were Neville, and George, who was still taking his brothers' loss hard, "Finaly, things can return to the way it used to be." said Ron. "Oh, of course, Ron." George said. "We just need to find a way to bring Fred back to life and things will be normal." Harry gave a glancing eye at Hermione, then Ron gave Harry the same look. "Harry James Potter! Are you really suggesting using the Resurrection Stone again when you KNOW perfectly well what it does to those who are dead, who should be dead." Hermionie said. "Not anymore." Replied Harry. "since when did you use my middle name". Hermione then turned a bright red. "Oh come on Hermione, if you had an older brother, you would do the same thing." Ron said. "Ron, just face it, after any war, it is impossible to return to the way it used to be." Harry said. George then asked what the stone was and the 3 told them the story of the Deathly Hallows.
Neville then asked if that is how Harry survived. "Kind of, but also I was also a horcrux of Voldemort's so he just got that part." Neville looked amazed at this. But before he asked another question, Harry went off to bed. Ron and Hermione then fell asleep together on the couch. Neville went up to the dorms too, then George got up but after 2 days of no sleep, went to sleep right on the floor. The next day they all went to breakfast and knew they were going to have a busy day.
McGonagall, the new headmistriss of Hogwarts, Asked Harry if he would mind taking up the Defense Against the Dark Arts post, and Neville if he could take up the herbology class due to Professor Sprout retiring. Neville gladly accepted, but Harry was not so sure "Sorry Professor, but I need to start training to become an auror". Just then, the newly appointed Minister of Magic Kinglsey Shacklebolt came by and told Harry that with 7 years of fighting dark magic in Hogwarts, that was his training and that he will only be called once a wanted wizard has been out in the open for at least 2 years and has a group of followers. Mcgonagall then turned to Harry and said "So Potter. What do you say?" Harry thought about it for a while, wouden't it make more sense to just capture a wizard BEFORE he reached the level Voldemort was. "Umm...
"Of course you do, Harry, what other person on this planet is more qualified for the job. Don't you remember how well you taught The D.A"? Hermione said. This convinced Harry and he accepted the job, but for one year. And so he was an auror who would be used to catch the absolute most dangerous wizards, while teaching others how to defend themselves and maybe even prevent another one from rising to power.
"Thank you Potter, Oh and did you know that you have a cousin." Harry looked at Mcgonagall with a confused face, and said "I thought I had no living family."
"You don't in Great Britain, but he is American, His parents died exactly the same way yours did, but the killer was caught almost immediatly. His name is Ian Caffold He is related to you because his mother is your father's sister. He is a 5th year right now. So do you think you will be able to take care of him?" Harry's eyes welled up a little at the thought of a living cousin. "Of course, when does he get here?"
"Tommorow, he is flying in via airplane."
Chapter 2: Events Unfolding
Before Harry could ask as to why Ian would not be being raised by a friend or a relative in America, a very familiar voice said "How are my old seeker and beater?" Harry and George turned around and saw that Oliver Wood was right there.
"Oh, hello Oliver." Said George.
"Hey, George, quite the battle that was going on. wasen't it." Oliver then said "Harry pull another stunt like that i will beat you with a beater stick."
