"CANDY ISLAND!? What? Either it an illusion or were dreaming, this can't be real." I almost didn't believe myself. Esther kind of did have a point. She said we would call it Candy Island. It was an island made of candy. What had been a nice day out on a boat exploring had turned into some crazy unbelievable mumbo jumbo.

I wanted to go explore the island, even if I had just got there. I could tell Esther was scared. Scaredy cat. Yeah, that was childish, but it was true. I wasn't scared, I was curious.

Well, Y'know what they say, curiosity killed the cat. But...Is it better to be a scaredy cat or a curious cat? I guess we'll just have to find out.

"Really? This can't be real? I'm stepping on an illusion?" Esther didn't sound very convinced of my opinion.

"Meh. I guess you're right," I gave in. "We better believe it."

I looked over at Raymond, who was lapping up some Kool-aid.

"No! Stop it you big dope! Dogs don't drink Kool-aid!" I put his leash on and dragged him to where Esther was.

"Here, hold the big guy," I told her. She took the leash and mumbled something.

I walked over to the boat and took everything out. I put my stuff in my backpack and Esther into hers. Plus a couple of things for Raymond.

"Aaaaaagggh!!"

I dropped what I had in my hand and turned.

"What!? What did yo-" I froze. It was a leopard. A transparent leopard. And it had its eyes fixed on Esther.

What am I supposed to do?! That thing will bite me in half if I go any closer. I was contemplating throwing my stuff at it and making a run for it with Esther and Raymond when Raymond started to bark at it.

The leopard didn't even care. It still had its eyes fixed on Esther.

"Dang it!" I said, and threw my things at it.

That was not a good idea. The leopard took his eyes off of Esther only to make them land on me. It suddenly launched itself, causing me to fall back into the kool-aid.

I scrambled around like a fish out of water to get out of the way, but when I finally got out, I saw the leopard laying on the ground with a huge bite out of it. It smelled like a freshly opened bag of gummy bears.

I stared at Esther in disbelief.

"Whaaa..? Wait, did... was that... you?" I somehow managed to get out. She rolled her eyes at me.

"Yes Tom, That was definitely ME. I have a huge mouth and I bite leopards in half when I'm scared." She crossed her arms.

"Oh, then... okay." I said, laughing nervously. Boy, am I dumb. I didn't even stop to think about it...

I looked at Raymond. It must have been him. He's always been such a good dog.

"Alright then!" I said, clasping my hands together "Let's get on the move!!"

I'm really hoping we wouldn't end up dead today......
