(main character: Riley Ryan, 21,)
My eyes glanced through the shirts on the rack as Jade, my best friend, looked at the shoes behind me. She was humming to the song playing in the store. Jade suddenly gasped and began to tap on my shoulder repeatedly.
"What!? I need a shirt for tomorrow night!" I stated getting annoyed .
"Girl, I'm about to rock your world. Look, there's Justin Bieber over there!" She whisper/shouted and pointed at Bieber.
"I have loved Justin for a long time now. To be in the same room with my idol is a blessing. Since I follow him on everything he has, I've seen his posts on how he would rather us fans approach him with more respect. I completely understand.
"What are you waiting for? Go up to him!" Jade suggested.
"No. I'm just gonna leave him be. He's just doing the same thing we're doing and he doesn't look like he wants to be bothered. Here, I want this shirt. Let's go." I say trying to leave as soon as possible.
Jade looked at me as if I just said "All lives matter".
"Did you just- are you kidding me? You talk about this white boy 24/7 and here he is. He said he didn't wanna take pictures but look at them girls just recording over there. You're not. He'll talk to you if you talk to him. Go." She tried to persuade me.
"Pretty sure he's going to get upset soon because they're recording. It's I see that side eye, and his face has that expression that just straight up says 'stay away from me' and that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm grateful that I even in this store with him. It's fine if we never exchange words because he just made my day by just being in here. " I stated while making my way to the cashier.
Jade just sighed as I began to pull out my wallet.
"No, I'll pay" Jade offered.
I rolled my eyes and finished putting my things on the counter. The cashier bagged everything up. We left and began walking out to the car.
"I'm hungry." I stated getting in the passenger seat.
"Lemme guess, you want Marco's?" Jade replied.
"I nodded and smiled big as Jade giggled at me being absolutely adorable as always.
