Chapter 37

Luke storms to the car not even waiting for me behind him. He quickly opens the car door getting in. "Fuck", he screams slamming his fist down on the steering wheel causing the horn to honk several times.

"Do you think he was telling the truth?", I ask him as I enter the car.

"The truth about what!", his tone rude.

"Anna having a boyfriend".

Luke curses under his breath as he starts the car.

"Now that I think about it, it could be true... Sneaking in late at night, not to mention sneaking out. Being all secretive around us. Who could she be dating though? If anything I would guess Logan but he wouldn't say that about himself would he-".

"Will you shut up!", Luke shouts startling me.

"She doesn't have a boyfriend! If she did she would tell us".

"But", Luke interrupts me once again.

"But nothing. He probably said that to catch us off guard, so we would not beat him up", Luke glances at me making sure I don't open my mouth once more to speak. I don't understand why he can't even just consider that fact that she might have a boyfriend. It makes sense. Now the question is who... She is only friends with Logan and James... James. She wouldn't be dating James would she. No that is crazy. He would never date her without talking to us first. But I am not sure of any other guys she talks to... I am going to have to talk to James.

Anna's POV

"I am going to go ask the nurse how much longer until we can take you home", my mother tells me before leaving the room. I wish Beau would leave the room. He hasn't left my side since I woke up. I want to talk to Daniel but I can't if Beau is here. James left around an hour ago but Daniel stayed. I am surprised Beau didn't question him when he didn't leave with James.

"Beau aren't you hungry? You have been here all day", I suggest trying to get him to leave.

"No I am fine", he mumbles.

"Why are you hungry?", he asks me.

"Well.. Actually I am. Mind getting me some food, I hate this hospital food", I frown looking down to the plate beside me.

Beau looks over to Daniel before back over to me.

"Fine I will be back in ten minutes", he smiles kissing my forehead lightly before leaving the room. Once he leaves the room Daniel gets up and walks over to the bed.

"How are you feeling?", his eyes are full of concern as he takes my hand but I pull my hand away. Pain flashes in his eyes as if he is asking why I am turning away from his touch.

"Not the greatest.. Thank you again", I softly say.

"Stop thanking me. This is what I am here for", he smiles.

I don't get him. I don't get how he is so forgiving towards me, when I did something so unforgiveable last night. His kindness is driving me insane.

"How do you forgive me... I kissed Logan", my voice is shaky, as well as my entire body. I was expecting him to yell at me and still am.

Daniel looks down taking a deep breath. "I know.. But I know it wasn't all your fault.... Like we told you before", he pauses. His palm meets the back of his neck rubbing it.

"It wasn't the first time he did that... He has done it to me before", he says I can't believe his words. It is bad enough Logan poisoned me but he did it to Daniel as well?!

"That is why I don't remember anything! I talked to Ryan last night and he told me Logan slipped something into my drink the night of the party. He also told me Logan has been trying to break us up and is doing everything he can to get you in bed". I am disgusted by his words. I cannot believe what I am hearing. Logan.. Logan did all of this to sleep with me? Beau was right.

"Now do you understand why I don't like him!?".

I nod slightly but I feel tears begin to fill up in my eyes.

"Luke and Jai", I gulp.

"Did they actually go after Logan".

Daniel nods slightly. "You are just lucky that we didn't let Beau go".

"Lucky? Daniel what are they going to do to him!", I ask but I am afraid to know the answer.

"Nothing. They just wanted to yell at him".

I roll my eyes. "We both know a lot more will occur besides yelling.... They wouldn't.. You know.. Out him back into a hospital".

"I don't know.. He deserves it. For fuck sales Anna he poisoned you and me! He is crazy. You need to stay away from him".

"I will".

"No I want you to promise me you will never speak to him again".

I look down taking a deep breath.

"Promise me", he demands.

"I promise", I tell him and this time I mean it. I am so done with his bullshit. Nothing has come out of seeing Logan again.

"Anna... I love you, and I forgive you", Daniel speaks breaking the few moments of silence we shared.

"I love you", I tell him and he leans in but quickly pulls away as the door swings open.

I feel my heart stop in my chest but I am relived to see it is only my mother. A large grin grows across her face.

"Am I interrupting something?", she giggles.

"No", I blush. I am surprise how calm my mother is with our relationship. It is like she doesn't even know. I guess she acts like that because she knows how Beau will react once he finds out. I have no idea when we are going to tell him. I wish he knew already. Daniel could come over anytime he wants. He wouldn't have to park a block away when he picks me up. He can come over to dinners and families parties. We could all hang out not in secret. I am tired of keeping this a secret.. I wish my brothers were more understanding.

Moment later the door swings open once more but this time it is Beau.

He raises an eye brow looking at us.

"Did I miss something...", he questions as he hands me a bag full of food.

I shake my head as I pull the food he has purchase out of the bag.

"Thank you", I smile.

Beau flashes me a smile back but I can tell he can feel something in the air.

"The nurse says she needs to do one final check up to make she you are doing good and then we can take you home. I will call Luke and Jai now to tell them they can meet us at the house.

"I will drive you home Daniel" Beau says.

Daniel looks over at me before back at Beau.

"Ermm yea that would be great... Bye Anna", he smiles.

I want to tell him that I will call him later but I can't with Beau around. I wonder how much longer Daniel and I can pull this off without anyone knowing besides my mom and James... I am too afraid to tell Beau. However I know sooner of later he will find out himself, and I think it is better that we tell him. The question is when.

"Thank you for being here", I smile and he stops to looks at me.

"Your welcome", he smiles but the looks in his eyes says another thing.
