Dragon City

Good news and surprises

"Let all dragons strong enough to battle among the islands gather beneath the high ledge for a clan meeting!" Called Crystal.
"Flameheart now wishes to only take the leadership among all ancient dragons here in Dragon City and requested retirement from battles. 

"Forge also requested to retire from the deputy position, I will appoint a new deputy for all Dragons here in Dragon City I would also like to name our deputy the next leader that will watch over dragon city." Continued Crystal.

"I have decided, our choice will be Fernier." Announced Crystal, solemnly.

The crowd of dragons happily cheered Fernier's name and congratulated him.

"I thank you all for choosing me." Replied Fernier solemnly, dipping his head in respect.

The next day

The next morning it was the gathering between Fireclan and Heroic Clan. Excitement and happiness were in both clans.

"How is the prey running." Asked Winter.

"Good, but there is something I need to tell you." Began Snow

"What is it? Can't it wait?" He asked, a bit surprised.

"No, I must tell you now." She says as she leads Winter behind a tall tree and bush. "I'm expecting your offspring." She replied.

"That's great news! I always loved you and no one else you know that by the way if it's a girl name it Evia if it a boy named it Eric or whatever you choose!" Replies Winter happily.

"I'm not worried about telling Diamondstar or anyone, but it's Fernier...." began Snow.

"Oh I see, I know you've been talking about how he tried to chase you and it's hard to refuse." He says, "Don't worry I will be here for you." He continued, "Also another good news from me is that I'm now the new deputy!" Replied Winter excitedly.

"That's great!" Praised Snow.

"Snow you will be the new deputy of Fire Clan, and also the new Leader, I Diamondstar, choose to step down and retire as a leader. Your new leader and deputy will be Snow and Fernier!"

Gasps and Surprise filled the air of both clans, but approved voices were heard.

Fire Clan realized it was a wise choice made.

"Snow! Fernier! Snow! Fernier!"

Winter was intrigued and proud, not only he was made leader but Snow was well.

"How are you?" Asked Winter one day.

"I'm fine. Although in a few moons, I'm moving into the breeding dens or the hatchery." Replied Snow softly.

"I will join soon." Replied Winter happily.

Moons later

Snow panted and watched as the pearl white egg she laid onto the soft nest, she looked at it and guarded it. Winter too, was tired, the pair fell asleep with Guardian and Fernier watching and guarding the hatchery.

"I don't mind if Evia stayed with you Winter." Began Snow.

"But shouldn't she stay us?" Asked Fernier

"It's Snow'd choice Fernier." Reminded Winter.

"Then who is the father?" Asked Fernier.

Silence Gripped the air.

"I do not know, but it's best if she lived with Winter because it might be better to get along well." Replied Snow, successfully managing to cover the secret.

"I'm going to host the dawn patrol, hope you figure this out, Snow." Replied Fernier, he turned and continued, "Also do you need me to grab something for you to eat before you leave Winter?" He asked again.

"No, it will be fine." Replied Winter

"See you soon!" Says Snow

"Yeah." Nodded Winter as he smiled.

Many more moons later

"Evia you're getting bigger!" Admired Snow as she visited her daughter one day.

"Yeah! mommy watch this!" Says Evia as
she flew into the air with a twist. She then catches leaf and lands gracefully

"She's getting good at training!" Praised Winter.

"That's good!" smiled Snow.

"Now show mommy the hunting crouch you learned today!" Instructed Winter excitedly.

Evia smiled and nodded, as she began the hunting crouch.

"Watch this!" She yelled.
Evia went into the hunting crouch and spotted a rabbit far from its hole near by. She tensed and leaped pinning the panicking rabbit and gave it a killing bite.

"Let's share food prey!" Yelled Evia excitedly.

"Of course!" smiled Snow

"Mmhmm juicy!" Praised Winter, as he had already took a bite from the prey.

"Remember when we were little and used to play like this?" Asked Snow, "It was so much fun!"

"It sure was! The good old times!" Laughed Winter, he continued, "and I see she's making some new friends or two, its all good, healthy too!

"Really?" Asked Snow, smiling.

"Yeah, I wish you'd seen when she wolfed down arctic hare, she has a big appetite like me!" Laughed Winter.

"Oh you! Keep a good eye on her so she doesn't choke, and also tell her to take her time to eat, its not a race!" Scolded Snow, and then she giggled. 

"I know I tried!" Chuckled Winter. 

They played on and watched the sunset and slept with a gentle breeze.
