"Do you ever stop moaning soph?"
She asked me, I turned and gave her a smirk and repositioned myself under the lamppost. "It's not in here Lex...I told you"
"Then tell me where it is Sophie I need it or mum will kill me."
I gave a sigh "I don't know, you could just call her from my phone a-and say you'll be staying at my house tonight "
"That's not the point, she knows there's a party tonight, she'll work it out and I'll be grounded for like ever and you'll get in trouble too, not to mention I've lost my phone!!"
I looked around, registering my surroundings, it's dark, not a natural dark though, the kind of dark when your standing under a tree on a rainy day, the kind of thing you see in horror movies when someone goes missing and it turns out it's a derranged psychopath on the run killing anyone in the way.

There was something wrong today though, things have been going wrong all day and concidering it's Friday the 13th could this be a coincidence? Sure...I mean things like that don't happen in real life

"Soph ... snap out of it...I need your help"
"Well what do you want me to do? Your the one that lost it not me! It's not my problem Lexi, you should be more carful and respect your possetions" I didn't mean to snap at her, I don't know what came over me.
She looked at me in disbelief as if she didn't beleive that I acctually stood up to her , she's normally the one that give it the mouth, but today it was me.

"Lex...I'm sorry"
She sighed "whatever let's go this place is creeping me out"
In the time it took me to look through my bag, all the natural light had gone and we were relying on a blinking streetlight, and if that gave out, we'd be in complete darkness and I couldn't bare the thought being stuck on a dark road with no light, not after all the movies I've seen. I mean...woman in black...the conjuring...no no no. I should be at home, with my mum, watching the soaps and having our girley talks as we did most nights, but stupidly I agreed to come out. I'm so proud of her, she's so strong, stronger than most, bringing me and my sisters up by herself and battling all these illnesses as well she's done so well.

Lexi linked our arms and started walking, I could hear her shallow breath in the cold, harsh air. I looked at her, admiring how truly amazing my best friend actually was. I know how sensitive she is and I don't mean to snap at her...it just happens I get aggitated and then I just snap. She knows I don't mean it but one thing she does know is how much I value our friendship and how thankful I am for all the advice she's given me for dealing with stuff.

"What was that?? " Lexi questioned squeezing my arm tightly.
