Amber stretched her paws out along the pillow. The sun was shining brightly in her eyes and the faint sound of running water was cascading throughout the house as she slipped softly in and out of her dream.
She yawned and laid her head on her pillow softly. She didn't get much sleep last night but it didn't matter, she had to get up for school. Sparks was already in the bathroom as shed guessed. Sparker was her room mate and one of her few friends here at the academy.
Amber pulled her shirt over her fur gently. She had cuts and bruises over her skin and she hoped no one would notice. Shed been having a rough time lately and was just trying to get out of junior magic elevated science school...a very complicated and high tech school for only the top magicians of Mea. Of course she was from Aquatavia and a lot of skilled magicians come from there but she was born in one of the lower states, were farms and slave houses were.
She got up and walked into the bathroom where Sparks was.
He was brushing his teeth and wasn't really paying attention to her. She rubbed sleeps out of her eyes and yawned again before speaking up. "When do you have to go in today?"
He looked at her through the mirror and rinsed off his face." Well, just in a tad but I have a short day today." He looked back in the mirror and gave her a reassuring smile before continuing with his business.
She closed the bathroom door and slipped on a soft yellow sweater. She thought about taking a quick shower but today was just going to be a short day.

Amber rushed her way out of her last class for the day. She had a deep pounding headache in her mind as all the information shed learned that day seemed to be replaying over and over again in her brain.
She rushed out the doors of the main hall and leaned against a stone column.She rubbed her forehead and sighed along with the autumn wind wishing Sparks wouldn't have any girls on him when he met up with her today.
