Silence.

Just silence.

Nothing but the still air hovering above his bed. Tyler liked it that way. Silence and nothing but silence. It allowed him to think without interruptions.

Darkness.

Nothing but black.

Black all around. Tyler could not see anything but the pitch black darkness absorbing him. It helped him see things.

Tonight he saw the eyes, those rainbow eyes. He saw them staring at him, scanning over his body. Tyler thought about why Josh would be staring at him. Every reason was an insecurity.

There was a blemish on his face, he looked gross, some rumor was spreading about Tyler.

The thought of Josh actually liking what he saw did in fact float through the air around him, but it was soon enough absorbed into the blackness and disappeared.

There was no reason for Josh to actually like Tyler. He was a small, innocent kid. There was nothing special about him.

Although Tyler was convinced that Josh was simply making fun of him, he had a small hope that Josh liked what he saw.
