'I want to see you' she said , when i clutched her hand tightly and tears rolled down her eyes.

I gave her a warm hug and did all i could to make her comfortable. 'Its all right Im always there with you .. ' i said . She gave me a kiss and waved goodbye, she was leaving for a town where she could persue her higher studies.

She was an angel,a lovely child. Nothing was wrong with her except for she couldn't see, see this beautiful world , see me .

I remember the first time i saw her , she was sitting alone near the playground deeply involved in something. I walked a bit further to take a closer look. She was holding a book in her hand and was meddling with the pages , it seemed like she was frustrated and was desperate to understand what was in the book . I kneeled down and slowly asked her ' is there anything i could do to help you ? ' she could not understand , she immediately got up and ran away and didn't look back even for a second.

She rushed behind mrs.Mary, the english teacher and held her tightly. I knew at once that i had frightened her . i walked towards Mary to introduce myself to her .

'This is your teacher, miss Katy. Come on wish her! ' mrs Mary told her in a language she could understand.

I bent down and took her hand , she smiled and i was glad to see her smile. She was no longer scared. I took her for a walk around the park,at first she was really silent and reluctant to speak anything at all. But i did not stop my chatter i kept talking about many things, things that were there in the park , about school , about teachers and friends and much more .She never lost the enthusiasm to listen although she could not understand my language. We soon became comfortable with each other, i had to become a kid, playful and innocent not aware of anything so that she could be happy spending time with me.

I found a new friend, she was my new friend. :)

Everyday i would visit her and spend my time with her because there was some kind of a special bond between us. She was so close to me that i felt she was a part of myself. As days went by, our relationship became stronger and stronger. Now this thirty year old woman, could no longer pass a day without her company.

I remember that one beautiful day. It was raining very heavily and i was forced to stay at home. I was missing my new friend but nothing could be done . I grabbed one of my favorite novels and began to read. Then i heard the door bell ring . I rushed to see who it was and to my surprise there she was with her english teacher. I took them inside and made them feel warm . ' What's the matter miss? Everything fine? ' i said.

'Oh my god what do i say, she has not eaten anything from morning , she has been pestering me to take her to you, she seems to be really upset' was mrs. Mary's reply.

I did not know what to say . I was happy to know that she loved me just the way i did .  But why was she upset was my question! I pulled her close to my side and whispered in her ears ' you want to do something really fun?'

Although she was deprived of sight her eyes were very beautiful. They seemed really familiar to me but i never did figure out why i felt so connected to her . She nodded her head and i took her to my backyard leaving Mrs Mary at the hall.

I took her hand and streched it out to feel the raindrops slash on her palm. I Told her to slowly feel the motion of the water slip through her hands. She seemed to enjoy it. But suddenly i could see tears fall down her eyes. She hugged me and showed signs and symbols which i couldnt really understand i was still on the verge of learning their language. I took her inside, made her feel warm. She seemed very keen on making me understand something. in frustration she waved her arms hapazardly. Mrs Mary tried to calm her down.

She told me ' Im very sorry miss, at times when she realises her deprivation she begins to feel unlucky and ends up crying like this.'

'I have decided to adopt her ' i said.

Mary didn't speak her word. She was taken aback by surprise.

I looked at her and said ' i know its not easy, i thrive for a living but I'm sure she will be happy with me always, all these days i felt so alone but my world has changed ever since she came into my life, I'm sure you will understand Mary, after all you have been with these kids for years'.

A smile lit up her face. She took the child aside and said ' you always wanted to meet your mom didnt you? here she is, your very own new friend.'

The child rushed into my arms and i knew that moment was sensational. I finally found someone who could be a big part of my life. She finally found someone who could love her unconditionally.

A lot of parents out there abandon their children at orphanages and school finding their own children to be a burden. Their deprivation is not a sin but leaving them alone to face life with such a difficulty is a sin. So what if they cannot see, cannot speak, they just need your love.

Learn to love. Learn to respect their deprivation. Learn to be kind. Learn to be human.
