I just don't know why every time I feel like I can tell jay how I really feel I start to back out, maybe it's just not meant to be.
"Kay!", I turned around to see Jay grabbing a hold of my arm.
"I been tryna get ahold of you all morning, wassup with u?"
"Nothing Jay I'm fine," I replied avoiding eye contact.
He grabbed my face and made me look up at him.
"Why u lying to me? I know you and I know something's bothering you."
I turned my head to get outta his grip.
"Look Jay I gotta go I don't wanna be late, I said walking off.
Jamal's POV
As soon as Kay walked in her class the bell wrung, which means I'm late to class.
"Damn!", I hurried up and jogged up the stairs to get to class.
Luckily we had a substitute, I made my way to my seat next to Nick.
"Wassup man why u late?"
I pulled out my phone to text Kayan. "Man was out in the hall tryna see what was up with Kayan."
Nick started smiling. "Man what's so funny?"
"You know she's in love with u right?"
"Naw man why u say that?" I asked texting Kay to see what was her problem.
"Come on man she's been down for u since the 6th grade, she's loyal Asf, and it's obvious y'all be flirting mad hard."
"Man shut yo Justin bieber looking ass up. Only difference is you have black hair and your Hispanic."
"I'm Puerto Rican bitch!" He smirked snatching my phone outta my hands.
"Yo come on give me my phone, I'm waiting on her to respond."
"Oh look she did she said nothing's wrong with her drop the conversation." He quickly typed something and sent it before I got a chance to take my phone.
Kayan's POV
"Oh my gosh!" I dropped my phone on my desk.
"Kay what's wrong?" My friend Jasmine asked. I pointed to my phone. "Damn, are you gonna respond?"
I shook my head no
"Well your gonna have to duck and dodge him for the rest of the day."
All I could do was shake my head and agree. Did he really just ask me did I love him more than a best friend?
