As the sun was setting on Westeros, and the last few of sun rays gave out on the Seven Kingdoms, the weather was getting harsher by the second. The man from the Knights Watch were barely seeing from the fog that surrounded the area, but they still gave their all to do what they swore the oath to, protect their land.

Winterfell stood in snow, like usual, but today it had that extra layer. Heading in the outskirts of Winterfell, in the meadow, stood a lonesome cottage. Mary, got out of the small house and headed to check how the harvest was coming along. With this weather at this rate nothing will grow, but with some hope something maybe will.

She clutched her heavier coat that she owned, made by fur, that kept her warm when going to do errands outside. As her small foot stepped on the snow, but a slight pull of gravity, her foot entered the snow leaving her to catch her stance a bit, to see that in fact, the snow had already piled up. After words she begin making her way to the harvest.

~ | Laughter was heard as the two children were running and trying to catch each other. An exhausted "Wait!" was said followed by laughter of the same child. The other child continued laughing and stepping his foot further, making him go faster, as he slightly looked behind his shoulder to see his friend running behind him, giving her a small smile.

"Hurry up Mary!" he said to her as his laughter started to intensify, he stopped only so he could rest his hands on his knees, hunching down and breathing heavily. The girl eventually caught up with him only so she could punch his shoulder for his reaction towards her.

"So, you finally caught up" he said as he straightened himself, looking at her. "I was behind you the whole time!" she gave off. "Sure you were" he said as he smirked at her, which concluded in the girl to give a small red face, once with the cold air outside, and the outer with slight anger. "What are we going to play next?" she questioned the boy. "I don't know." the boy simply replied. He begun to think what they could simply play as an idea popped in his mind.

"We should play our favorite game.". With a confused look the girl lifted her head to him, but after seeing his smile, she remembered. "Yes!" "Alright, let me get my wooden sword." he turned around and started running to the town where his house was. The girl followed after as he grabbed the swords from the training room, and headed back to the meadow.

They begun to slash at imaginary enemies, swords aimed in front of them and giving a nasty snarl, and as they defeated the last enemy they looked at each other and gave off a smirk. "We won!" the boy cheered, as his hand that held the sword came flying in the air. "Go Winterfell!" the girl continued to cheer. "Nobody can mess with us" "Exactly" the boy replied, as he gave her a side hug. "Want to go back to the court yard, we could play there." "Yes, sure".

They begun walking and heading to the boys home. As they were walking the girl looked onto the snow and was always thinking about what was happening when she slowly stepped into it. She liked it's colour and how soft it is, or how sometimes it is it's opposite, and hard to the touch. As they entered his home, a voice gave off. "You two, off again playing" they stood next to each other looking at the adult who was talking to them. "Well then, I guess all that playing got you hungry." The children looked at the man who was talking to them with a smile, when the food was mentioned. "There some sweets in there, have just been made, go have some while you still can" the children quickly ran past him as they headed to the dining area, where they were met by delicious sweets. "Thank you Sir Stark" the girl yelled as she ran. Eddard Stark gave off a small laugh as he made his way to his destination. |~

Finally met by the harvest, the soil gave off a different color of contrast with the whiteness of the snow, some cabbage leaves could be seen, signaling life was there. She begun to take out the crops, thanking the Old and the New Gods, that there wasn't that much heavy snow on the crops, as it could easily have destroyed them. Finally done, she headed back inside, placing the cut cabbage, carrots and some other vegetables on the wooden table, she had in the left side of the room.

She took off her heavy coat, placing it in her room, then proceeded to wash her hands and begin cutting the vegetables. While doing so her mind couldn't help to think about the memory she had earlier, and so leaving her thoughts to her friend and hoping he was alright.
