A/N: I've decided to change up the format from third- person view to first-person view. I hope this doesn't bother you all too much.
Jessie's P.O.V.
As we entered the orientation area we managed to spot out Yang and Ike in the crowd of people leaving Jaune to fair for himself. Which in all honesty was a little too cruel. The guy probably didn't have any other friends.
"You guys made it!" Yang called to us as we approached her and my big brother. "Yeah after you guys so rudely ditched us." I added irritably. "Yeah you didn't had to go and take off on us like that." Ruby chimed in. I just gave a firm nod after.
"Well you two had to get off on your own so you could make friends." Ike said with a small nervous smile. "Well there's was one flaw in your plan." I pointed out matter-of-factly. "Oh yeah what's that smart guy?" Yang asked with a challenging smirk. "You left Ruby and me together. So we still had each other and didn't have to make friends."
Yang looked at me with her jaw dropped as she was probably feeling stupid for not realizing that herself. "So you mean you two didn't make any friends?" Ike asked agitated. "No that's not what I said." I replied. This seemed to make Yang happy as she bounced from her state of defeat and shook me asking me who the person was.
"Well he was like my height maybe taller and had blonde hair and has a traditional sword and shield. He has pale skin and he seems to be a pretty cool guy. He's pretty funny and we see eye to eye on some things." I told them. "Well well well look at that now it wasn't that hard now was "wittle" brother." My brother Ike teased me. "Awe screw you dude." I pouted.
"Well how was it after you split up from us." Yang asked her little sister. "It was horrible I bumped into someone and then I exploded and there was some fire and I think some Ice?" Ruby started. "You being sarcastic?"Yang asked playfully.
"I wish" Ruby replied,"I tripped over some crabby girl's luggage and then she started yelling at me and then I sneezed and exploded and she started yelling at me again and I just wanted her to stop because I felt really really bad and-" YOU!" Weiss interrupted. Ruby jumped into Yangs arms.
"Oh god it's happening again!" She screamed. "Your lucky we weren't blown off the side of a cliff."Weiss yelled. "Oh my god you really exploded." Yang said shocked a little. "It was an accident" Ruby yelled at her sister. "It was accident!" She yelled again hopping from her sisters arms now talking to Weiss.
Weiss just sighed and asked her if she really wanted to make it up to her to which Ruby replied,"Yes." "Then read this and never speak to me again." Weiss so rudely thrusted the book ink Ruby's face and began to lecture what sounded like a disclaimer of some sort. I didn't really pay attention to what was being said but I don't really care anyway.
Ruby's P.O.V
After that Weiss girl left me with her manual and her somewhat rude request she I askedbher if she wanted to be friends and go school shopping. Her response.....wasn't what I wanted to hear. "Oh sure and we can paint our nails, and try on clothes, and talk about boys like tall, blond, and scraggly over there. "Really!" I exclaimed. "No." She replied bluntly."Ahem." A voice boomed over the orientation rooms." One look and I saw it was Professor Ozpin. "I'll keep this brief. You have traveled here today to acquire knowledge to hone your craft and acquire new skills and when your finished you plan to dedicate your life to protect the people. But, when I look amongst you all I see is wasted energy in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this but, your time at this school will prove knowledge will only bring you so far. It is up to you to make the first step." He concluded.
