Darkness All Over

Chapter 6(Lorencia's POV)

Dinner went by quickly. Everyone ate quietly but the glances between my sister and the boy did not go unnoticed by me. She was basically drooling over him and screaming 'marry me' in her head. I looked away from them for a moment to hide my smirk directed at them.

I started thinking about my last boyfriend, Kevin. He was really sweet and kind in the beginning until I found out that he never loved me in the first place, he was a jerk that just wanted to get in my pants and use my money.

My sister on the other hand was always a virgin of dating. She never thought that a boy was cute or handsome but now I think little Lilisa is finally growing up.

After the table was magically cleared Captain Lark stood up clearing his throat.

"Nice to see that everyone has eaten well but now we have to solve the problem at hand. My nephew, Ethan, has been captured by The Oldens. Now that's where you two come in. It was prophesied that you two will come along and help us."

"Uncle Lark, I think you should tell them the whole prophecy so they know exactly why and how they are here." Jordan suggested.

"Alright. Let me write it out for you so you can also make sense of it to accomplish this quest because Julian and I tried to find the meaning behind the words but we just didn't get it." Captain Lark wrote the prophecy on a piece of paper ,though I wonder where that came from, and handed it to my sister and I.

The prophecy was written in neat cursive, quiet neat for a pirate. It said:

Twin daughters of Eve
Shall portal to meet.
Son of Adam shall fall
Shall he rise a king in old darkness
Son's of Adam and daughter's of eve
Shall travel world of cruelty
One's soul shall fall in land of death
One's soul shall bury in smoke of peace
One's soul lost in hope
The three shall meet the Kings fall
Thee will meet love
Thee will rise
Love and hate shall meet
Hate and evil shall call defeat.

My sister and i read the prophecy aloud so everyone could hear.

"I'm sure my sister Lilisa will be able to figure out this prophecy." I said with a grin.

"Yeah, I just need time." Lilisa said while sending a scolding look towards me.

"How do you know that you will be able to figure out this prophecy on your own." Jordan smirked at my sister.

" I'm taking literature as a major so I know I will be able to figure it out on my own." Lilisa grinned back.

"I can help you, I understand poetry quiet well, and perhaps if I work with a person who is just as good or a lot more better than me then this prophecy will be figured out quicker."

My sister muttered an agreement under her breath.
"Now that that's decided I suggest that you two start working on it from now on. While you do that, Miss Lorencia please follow me so we can decide what you should do to help us." Captain Lark gestured me to follow him.

I stood up and walked after Captain Lark, leaving the two love birds alone. I hope they don't do anything besides working on the prophecy.

I followed Captain Lark into the corridor once again.

"What are your hobbies?" He asked

"I like to play netball, read and navigate." I answered.

Captain Lark looked at me thoughtfully before speaking.

"Perhaps you can help me navigate where they're keeping Ethan, I will give you information that I got from my sources that is if you are willing to help me."

I answered immediately"Of course I will, that is why I'm here. So when do I start?"

"Just like the other two,you will start right now. We need to find my nephew immediately. I apologize for the rush but I love my nephews quiet a lot." The pirate looked at me apologetically.

"No problem Captain Lark. We will find him and help you all with the prophecy now lead the way" Captain Lark grinned at me while I grinned back.

He suddenly hugged me in a fatherly hug, startling me but I eventually hugged him back. He pulled away after a couple of minutes with tears in his eyes.

"I'm so thankful that you young maidens are helping me, I could ask for nothing more." With that he turned around and signaled me to follow him.

I walked after him thinking that perhaps this place isn't as bad as it seems. Hopefully we will find Ethan since he means so much to his brother and uncle. The way Captain Lark had hugged me, the gesture was stuck in my head, it reminded me so much of how our father used to hug us when he came home from work but as we grew older he seemed to be too busy to come home so now he stays in his office in a spare room ,after all , he is the CEO. We don't see him quiet often.

I wonder what Lilisa and Jordan are doing.

That thought bought a smile to my face. Perhaps I could play Cupid on the. Hopefully my sister won't stay single for the rest of her life, her beauty and talent will go to waste. With that thought I entered the room that Captain Lark had lead me to.

Sorry for not updating but I'm not getting enough motivation to write this book but I guess my friend unorthodoxly-me was and is the only motivator. So unorthodoxly-me this chapter was for you.

Please tell me if I should write the next chapter in Jordan's POV.
