Liesel woke up screaming from her new nightmare. The images flew through her mind slapping her and telling the poor girl it was real, all of it, her parents dying, Rudy dying, and everyone but her dying.

Soon enough her papa was by her side soothing her. They read for a few hours before the alarm sounded, and for Liesel, this time she did hear it.

Her heart was racing even faster than her feet as she hurtled through yards knocking and yelling doors. She made a checklist of everyone and made sure she hit every house. It only took a couple minutes till Liesel was at the Steiner's.

“Rudy!” she yelled, as she barged into the house pushing everyone else out and trying to find her friend. During that rush of commotion, she linked hands with her best friend. Making sure everyone was out of the house, they ran to the bomb shelter basement, with a stack of books.

Immediately as she started to read, the tensions in the room almost silenced. The breathing of the children slowly calmed, every single ear honed in on the story at hand. Papa and Mama were holding each other with a look on there face that showed pride in there daughter but also a hint of horror from the bomb that was nearing Munich street.

The bomb finally hit, and it hit hard. Liesel stopped reading and the silence gobbled everyone up besides a crying toddler. It felt like an entirety while they waited for the alarm to stop.

Once the alarm stopped the people of Munich street emerged from the basement warily, scared of there eyes were going to see next.

***Back to the Basement***

Rudy and Liesel sat alone in the

basement. Looking down and listening

to the others breathing. And finally

Liesel made the move.

Her kiss was everything as he imagined and for her, it was everything she needed. No words were said, and none were needed. I wish I could say it was a fairy tale ending, but it wasn't, not even close. The damage. That's what ruined it. Half of Munich Street was in ruins, ash covering the ground, and building materials scattered and broken.

People were in distress crying next to their houses longing for they're stuff that was burnt before them in a piles of rubbish.

Suddenly there was a loud noise that came from the east, it was another plane. Every face looked up, struck with fear, fore they knew what was coming. Liesel was the most scarred, she had had a nightmare as dreadful as this, except this was real, they were all starring at they're deaths. Rudy, the only one that was not looking up but over, looking at Liesel, the girl that had his back whenever and was his best friend. Two seconds later everything was on fire and destroyed.

Let me tell you this, I did not want to have to take all those souls but I did, and I handled them with care. Each with a delicate hand, I grasped on to them and laid them down in my arms, and that's it. The ending of Munich street. And the story of Liesel Meminger, well, it still lives on with me as I carry it from place to place collecting souls.
