I remember the day Zila Everton beat up Jase Wentworth. I'm pretty sure everyone did.
It started off as a completely normal school day, everyone went to their classes talked with friends until lunch.
Zila was at her locker putting away her books and grabbing new ones, probably so she could do the homework she had missed. Zila was away a lot, no one really knew why exactly but we all had a pretty good idea...
Anyways, Zila had about four or five books in her hands and just as she closed her locker, Jase and his friends walked into the hall.
I remember one of Jase's friends, Morgan, saying "Hey man, look the freak decided to show up today" he nudged Jase's side.
Jase looked at Zila and smirked slightly then walked towards her the smirk growing with every stride he took.
Once reaching her his face changed from evil to fake sincerity.
"Hey do you need help with that?" He asked looking down at her. Zila looked up with hopeful eyes almost as if she was glad someone was willing to be nice to her for once but once she realized it was Jase her eyes turned dull again and instead of responding with words she just shook her head resting her books on her hip.
Next thing you know Zila's books are all over the floor. She immediately dropped to the floor retrieving the books but before her small nimble fingers could reach for the first textbook a large foot harshly stomped on them.
Ad right then and there something in Zila's face changed. Her face went from dull and lifeless to almost vengeful and angry. Zila ripped her hand from under Jase's shoe, leaving bleeding marks on them, pushed her lower half up putting all her weight on her hands and kicked him square in the face making him fall to the floor.
Then she went on top of him and started punching him with all her force. People begged her to stop but no one could even get close to her.
It was terrifying. But not even as close as terrifying as to what happened after she was done.
She finished him off with one last punch in the jaw then calmly stood up not making eye contact with anyone, she grabbed her books then walked out of the school doors.
No one really knows why she did it but high school being high school things spread around.
"I heard that she is an assassin and she was assigned to kill Jase but she couldn't do it so she just beat the crap out of him"
"I heard Jase was her pimp and beat her every night and she couldn't take it any more"
"I heard that Zila and Jase were dating secretly but she caught him cheating"
All different things were said but no one dared to ask what happened.
The next day Jase and Zila didn't come to school. As a matter of fact a lot of people didn't, but the people who did were on their toes on the look out for Zila or Jase. Classes were practically empty especially the ones that had one or both of the two in them.
There was never really any drama or fights at Brent Highschool but when there was everyone became a little paranoid because it wasn't something they were used to.
When Jase came back to school he sported a black eye and a huge cut starting in the middle of his cheek and ending just after his jaw line, and obviously a ton more bruises on the rest of his body but he was still a douche bag to everyone.
When Zila came back, she came back a new person. Her knuckles ripped open, her lip busted open and even though she had obvious dark bruises all over her small body everyone bullied the fuck out of her, for hurting their beloved Jase.
She had no friends what so ever and she came to school everyday with a new bruise somewhere and no one really seemed to give a shit not even the teachers.
She didn't speak or make eye contact with anyone, not until the day that everything changed.
