The ten of them ran down the hill as fast as they could. Saige thrust her hand out and concentrated on finding the source of energy for the electric fence. As she mentally scanned the area, she locked onto the position of the power plant a few miles away and connected her mind with the electricity in the plant.

In an instant, the fence sparked and the electricity ran through the ground and into Saige. She felt that spark, like a shock, and the energy travelled around her body.

Grinning, she used the power she had gained and blasted the electricity out of her fingertips to propel her up and over the fence. Phoenix phased through the fence while Dian floated over it.

Meanwhile, Nyle used his powers to tear a hole in the fence big enough for all of the agents to leap through easily.

Saige landed on the ground hard and winced as a tingle of pain sparked up her heel. She ran past all of the passed out guards and up to the door, where it swung open easily due to her power outage.

She held the door as everyone streamed in, all of them looking wary and prepared, ready for whatever trouble was sure to come.

The hallway that they were in was dark, due to the lack of electricity, and cold. Saige had expected it to be pristine and clean, like a scientific laboratory.

Instead, it was a little bit grimy and dirty, the walls an off white like they had been pure once before the evil people had taken residence there. The floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a year and dirt and mud covered the floor.

A rank smell filled the air, and Saige covered her nose and mouth with her hand, trying not to breathe in too much of the gross air. Hopefully, they wouldn't have to be there very long. They just had to get the Usipi Stone, and then they would be out of there.

There were dark hallways in front of them, to the left and right, and a door on their direct right. Saige just hoped that no one would come and jump scare them, or worse.

Since they were in an evil lair, probably the latter...

"Ew. This is disgusting," Mira whispered. Saige nodded.

Once everyone was in, Adam stopped them and gathered them in a circle. "Okay, let's do this. We're going to pair off and each of us will go down a different hallway, okay, until we find something. At that point, we'll wait until at least another pair can find us before investigating, alright?"

Nods.

He continued. "I'll go with Dian. Phoenix, you're with Nova. Parker, you're with Nyle. Mira, you're with Saige. Freya, you're with Leroy. Everyone got their ear pieces?"

More nods.

"Then let's do this."

Saige and Mira sprinted down the hallway to the left with Phoenix and Nova before splitting up with them and heading down the first right hallway they saw. Suddenly regretting taking out the electricity, they slowed when they realized they could no longer see.

"Mira," Saige whispered. "You control light. Can you..." She paused. "Shed some light on the situation?"

A tiny light appeared in the palm of Mira's hand, and Saige could see the disapproval on her face, only slightly hiding the smile she knew Mira was trying to hold back. "Why, of course, darling."

Saige stopped, hearing something. "What--"

There was a creak next to them, and Mira's light went out immediately. The muffled voices that Saige had heard became clearer as a door on their left opened. "--out. The security cameras are down, so we're going to check around and make sure everything is secure,"a gruff voice said.
