Stubborn Pet

If you take a right at Lost Street, a left at Really Lost Ave, another right at Extremely Lost Road, a left at Hopelessly Lost Way and continue along, you'll come to Ms. Sunshine's Obedience School for Pets.

Ms. Sunshine's Obedience School for Pets is unlike any other obedience school. The pets that come there are usually horrible monsters that have just been caught from the untamed wild.

Ms. Sunshine's Obedience School is in ruins. It's been ripped apart by every kind of crazy creature you can think of. It's also been burnt down several times by a fire-breathing dragon named Fred, who goes there twice a year.

It's hard to believe that the school is still there.

Today, Ms. Sunshine (a chubby lady with spiky hair and round glasses) was looking at her list for her next class and hoping that none of them had terrible pets, which probably wouldn't happen. She really didn't have any time for more wild pets, since yesterday a man had brought twenty-six hell hounds that had gotten loose and destroyed half the school (even more that it already was).

The bell rang on the door, and a young girl came in, holding a pet that resembled a squirrel with a really long tail. The girl had a crown floating above her head and was holding a purse.

"Hello," the girl said. "I'm here for the two o' clock class."

The pet didn't look very scary, but Ms. Sunshine was sure that once the class started, it would turn into a mini-devil. "Yes, take a seat in room six please. It's down the hall on your left," Ms. Sunshine said, a bit shakily. Sometimes she wondered why she kept running this school.

The girl walked down the hall, and Ms. Sunshine looked back at her list. There were three people on it. Just three people. One is here, two more to come. Just three. Not twenty-six, Ms. Sunshine thought. Oh, I do hope none of them bring twenty-six pets.

The bell ran again, and a girl with floating pony tails walked in. Her pet had floating wings.

What is it with the floating things today? Is it a new fashion trend? Ms. Sunshine thought.

"Hey, I'm here for the class at two!" the girl said. Her pet waved at Ms. Sunshine.

"Yes, go down this hall and the class will be on the left. Room six. Please take a seat, and I'll be right with you," Ms. Sunshine chirped, she was sure that this pet was nice because it had waved at her (though she was still doubtful).

Ms. Sunshine looked back at her list and the girl walked down the hall. The girl opened the door to a large room with no ceiling and burnt black walls. She saw Floating Crown Girl sitting on a chair that had three legs, holding her pet that looked like a squirrel.

Floating Crown Girl looked up at Floating Ponytails Girl and made an observation. "Your ponytails are floating."

"So?" Floating Ponytails Girl responded.

"I just don't get why they are floating. Wouldn't it be better if they were attached to your head?"

"No. I like them this way."

"They're annoying me. Now I won't be able to stop looking at them."

"Your crown is floating."

"Do you have a problem with that?"

"No. Not really."

"Good."They stopped talking, and Floating Crown Girl didn't stare at Floating Ponytails Girl's ponytails.

Meanwhile, the bell on the door rang again, and the last girl walked in. She was a pale girl in a ragged dress. Ms. Sunshine thought she was a ghost for a second.
