"Yuhara-san... Your uniform..." Ichijo eyed it wryly as he took a look at the stain on my uniform.

"It's fine. Don't worry about it.'' I wiped at the stain mindlessly, even though the action would not result in my uniform magically becoming clean. He nodded, although still slightly concerned, and fell into stride with Shiki who was behind me.

''You sure knew how to shut Kiryuu up," Akatsuki smirked as the statement made Ruka scoff and made others agree with him.

I shrugged and smiled, "It's one of my many talents."

In class, I was sitting between Rima and Shiki. Class was so boring that I slept through the whole period. When we were dismissed, I dashed out of the classroom at top speed and into Shiki's room. He obviously wasn't there yet so I sat on his bed and waited a little. I stroked the pendant that I wore around my neck, with a small picture of me and Kaname as kids.

Shiki's POV,

I watched Nozomi dashing out of the classroom in a daze. I thought she already forgotten about going to my room.

I brisk-walked out of the classroom and ran to my dorm room. I saw Nozomi staring at her pendant with a nostalgic look in her eyes. I locked the door and strolled over to her.

''What's wrong?'' I asked her quietly.

"Hmm? Nothing. Just recalling some memories."

''Can I look at it?''

''Sure. Go ahead. '' She unclasped the clasp at the back and gently handed me the pendant. I took a look at the two children in the small photo. I recognised Kaname's distinctive eyes and Nozomi's radiant smile. I guess they really were close to each other. As I helped her wear back the necklace, she asked, "So what did you want to talk about?"

I stood up and went to prepare two glasses of water for each of us, stating, "It's kind of a long story."

Nozomi's POV,

Shiki handed me a glass of water and I gladly took it. He sat right beside me on the bed and we were silent for a while. I nervously sipped the water as I eyed him from the corner of my eye.

''Turn around to face me,'' Shiki suddenly requested.

''Why?" I asked.

''Just do it.'' I turned and he leaned over. ''What? Are you thristy or something?" I asked, genuinely confused.

''No.'' He said simply and leaned closer to me. "Close your eyes and keep quiet."

I felt a soft sensation on my lips and felt myself being pushed down onto the bed. We stayed like that for a while before the soft sensation slowly went away. I opened my eyes to see Shiki staring deep into my eyes. My hand flew to my lips automatically and I was confused before I realised what had happened.

He.
Just.
Kissed.
Me.

"That was for... everything. You make me feel happy. I wanted to thank you with that." He explained as he got off of me.

"I liked that..." I whispered to myself with my face still covered with. My heart was beating wildly and I couldn't stop smiling.

''I didn't ask you to come just for that though. I need you help with something. " He admitted.

"What do you need help with?..." I murmured, still in a daze as I slowly lowered my hands back to my sides.

"Your family's history.'' He turned to stare at me again. I wasn't shocked because I knew the topic would arise eventually. ''I don't really want to talk about it but for your sake, I'll do it." I sat up and slowly edged my hand towards his until the sides of our hands touched. I really like this guy.

''Like I told you, My family died years ago, I'm the last one surviving. The death of my parents was by the level Es, some vampire hunters and a vampire that was after my blood. I got shot by a vampire hunter before I could run but the wound healed, thankfully. Before long, I got out of that place. But of course Kaname was with me. He helped with the level Es but the vampire hunters were the one we couldn't kill. The only thing we could do was to run and find a safe place to hide." I paused and took a deep breath.  "That vampire after my blood was still after me but Kaname made it so that the vampire hunters found him so they got rid of the vampire for us.  After some time, We found a vacant house to live in and we lost the vampire hunters. We lived alone for a few years. Then Kaname transferred to Cross Academy.  I had to live by myself for another few years. He left me knowing I was old enough to care for myself though. I was getting lonely and I missed Kaname so I decided to transfer to Cross Academy to find him. '' I finished with a sigh before noticing Shiki's stare.

"You don't have to be jealous." I smiled and pulled him closer, giving him a hug. We stayed in the embrace for some time as I stroked his back, enjoying the feeling of his body against mine. He had feelings for me. I had feelings for him. Everything was perfect in this moment.

"I'm not jealous."

"You are."

"Am not."

"Am too."

"Ugh, whatever, your story is just sad," He grumbled as he rested his head against my chest.

"Well, yeah, sure but I'm alright now and that's what matters most~" I grinned as I stroked his soft spiky hair.

"I'll take care of you so that you'll never be in that kind of situation ever again, or any kind of horrible situation, I'll protect you from all of that," He mumbled as he tilted his head up to look at me meaningfully. "I mean it."

I smiled softly back at him and brought him closer for a kiss. "I'll hold you to that, Senri."

"I love you."

"I love you too."
