LUCKY

I AM LUCKY

Every person has the opportunity to choose between right or wrong. Our destiny depends on us.

Our life is full of challenges, but we are lucky enough to face all of these. Now, I'll share my story...

When I was a kid, I don't mind all the things that my parents gave me. My mind was all set that my parents don't love me, because of one reason:

They were prohibiting me to do all the things that I wanted to do when I was a kid.

I was selfish, foolish and a self-centered kind of a person before, but when the time that I realized that all the things that I did and I thought before was wrong, a big change in my personality happened.

I appreciate now all the things that they all gave me and I considered myself that I am not just lucky in my life, but also I am lucky that I have cool parents.

When I was in 4th grade, I learned how to read musical notes.

I did not tell my parents that I know and I can read musical notes, because I thought they would not support me in enhancing my musical skills.

To tell you, I was wrong.

I realized it when they bought me a keyboard on my 10th birthday.

I was happy. I couldn't imagine that my parents would buy me a keyboard, and as a thanksgiving, I impressed and made them proud by playing something.

They asked how and when did I learned reading musical notes. I smiled.

They were shocked and amazed at the same time.

Starting that day until now, I considered myself as a very lucky person.

Last March 2013, when the screening of Inter-barangay Volleyball men tournament opened, my heart and mind pushed me to join this said tournament.

When my mother was the SK Chairman of our barangay, and also one of the players of the said tournament, I was amazed and convinced to play volleyball too.

So I set my mind to join, but I thought that they would not allow me. Again, to tell you, I was wrong.

I told them that I want to join on the said tournament, they allowed me, but they were worried because I have asthma.

I told them that I was old enough to handle myself, and they were convinced on what I've said.

Again, I realized that I am a very lucky person, because I have cool parents that are allowing me to do all the things that I want.

To develop my personality, skills and to become matured enough.

From now on, they're letting me to do all the things that I want to do, for me to discover myself, to see the wrong things and letting me to correct it all by myself.

Starting today, I'll consider myself a VERY LUCKY PERSON! This is all because of our HEAVENLY FATHER, who gave us life, to experience all of these things that made us all A LUCKY PERSON. Thanks to our Lord.
