Dear _____, I don't exactly know how we got into that situation, maybe if I wasn't paired up with you in class we wouldn't have gone to the principal's office, but hey, it wasn't our fault. ''Make a baking soda volcano,'' is what Mdme. said, right? And that's what we did, except we added the wrong chemical and exploded foam into everyone's else's projects, but we didn't have Science for the rest of the week, so good for us, I guess.

Then we were sent to the office right after Mdme. wiped the foam off her glasses, glaring at us as we snickered and avoided eye contact, I wasn't trying to be rude, but I saw Mark sneezing out bubbles and I couldn't help myself, and I ended up influencing you, so it's partially my fault. Mostly yours though, you were the one who mistook ''Chemical X'' for baking soda. Great job, ____.

The squint she gave us when we left the classroom to go to the office was traumatizing, I swear, I rarely get goosebumps but she gives it as soon as she even looks at me. Remember what happened after that? Yeah, I ended up having some foam on my shoes and slipped, and you caught me, like a damsel in distress.

But then we both scowled at each other and I got off of you.

We never discussed it ever again, you probably forgot, but that was one of the times I felt my heart beat quickly, so congratulations for reviving me for even just a second. We joked around about Mark picking his nose after that incident, or leaving the rest of the class to clean up our mess, but what we were about to go through then was worse than both of those situations, and trust me, Mark picking his nose wasn't exactly ideal to watch.

''Tada!'' I muttered sarcastically as soon as we hit the entrance of the principal's office, the door closed and only one swing could send us to hell...Or back to the classroom. You patted my back then, which was your way of assuring me that it was gonna be okay, but I had my own opinion. I plastered a fake smile across my face, raising my eyebrows as I glanced at you, my way of telling you to do the same, then we both entered the office, as if we won some contest and couldn't contain our happiness.

Being the jerk I am, I nudged you to speak first, earning a glare from you but I knew you'd get over it eventually. You then cleared your throat and looked the principal straight in the eye, your voice wavering during the first word, ''We destroyed the Laboratory.''.

I pinched my nose bridge at your attempt of being ''honest'' and had to back you up, and I wish you still allowed me to do that, but that story's for a different time. I smiled even wider and stepped closer to the desk she had her arms on, ''What ____ meant to say was, we were doing some kind of project and...''. You took this as a cue to speak and suddenly went ''Destroyed the laboratory.'' Ending with another nudge from me.

She looked up from her laptop, a stern look on her face to indicate that she's half impressed and half worried for us, yet, she doesn't look mad. ''So, are you gonna yell at us or..?'' I whispered to myself, facing the ground, hoping that she didn't hear it, but either way, she did.

''No, I won't yell at you, however, I will call your parents and tell them to pay the damage fees and to replace everyone else's ruined projects.'' I gulped at her consequence, I was fine with doing everyone else's project, I liked helping people, but the damage fees? That was our only difference, I was poor and you were rich.

I bit my lower lip, knowing that I'd have to save up in less than a week to try and repay over a hundred dollars, how could a baking soda volcano even cause this much damage? Well, if ''Chemical X'' could turn girls into superheroes then I don't see why it can't wreck a classroom at least.

On our way out, I slapped my hands onto my face, covering it dramatically as if I'd lost a locket from my dead ex-lover. You pat my head, whispering into my ear, ''It's okay, I'll pay for the damage fees.''.

And that was the accident that made me notice you more.
