Shai? No it can't be... I mean, in all of the places I could have spot him it had to be here? I was on the basketball court with Jay after going to his house that day. "Umm babe, I'll be right back" I glaced at Jay giving him a half smile before making a step. "Where are you going?" He looked at me puzzled, waiting for an explanation. I looked in the other direction then back at him before giving him my answer "I'll, tell you later" I gave him a 'reasure' face and a sign of worry and slight curiousity and ran out to the streets. Obviously he was surely going to follow me anyway. I actually wanted him to, I wasn't going stop him this time. I wanted him to know what was happening for obvious reasons. 'I'm weird' my mind snaped. But I liked it. It was true...
Anyway, I wasn't sure if it was Shia but I could feel it. I know it sounds weird but, its true. See, when we first started out as friends we had this connection. I know, I know, what you're thinking but trust me, it's not like that. We are close friends, the wierd kind but, it was not that different. I could feel it cuz whenever he was around, my guts would always send me a signal, kinda like a radar that automatically senses danger.
Ok, back to the point. Six dudes walking in a line, wearing black cloack?! Honestly it wasn't even Halloween yet and it can be a funeral either I mean, the cemetary is five miles in other direction they were heading. Ok I didn't want to act all creepy in this but whenever you may see something like this in your neighborhood, it had to be black magic involved. 'SciFi movies got the best of me on this one' I thought to myself.
Well Shybris or not of course I was going to investigate for myself... Why would six tall dudes in black cloacks walk past near the basketball cort in the open road? That just didn't add up. They were walking in plain sight, gaining all of the attention.
I had intended on interrogating the guy at the back of the line. 'It had to be him' I thought, trying not drag any close attention to myself. I came up fast behind him really slowly. And of course Jay was not too far behind either. Trying to stop my foolishness/craziness. I grabbed the poor thing by his hood covering my hand over his mouth, avoiding his nose so that he could breathe.
I toasted him around quickly only so I can see his face under the cloak. I gasped, my breath hitting his face. "Gabriel?!" I whispered loudly. "Care to explain to me what in the hell are you doing? Are you mad?!" I whispered in a yelling toon at him, pulling him closer to my face. Huh, my anger was nothing compared to his. He was a hot head, he had a sharp tempore from what I know by experience. But I didn't care, I was mad. Mad at the fact that my best friend didn't tell me what he was planning out about this scenario.
"Shhhh, you'll blow my cover!" He covered my mouth shushing me. He look worried, worried that I was going to bust his ass. "Cover?! You are putting your life at risk dude!" I said loud in enough for them to listen. "Stop, they can hear you" he waved his hands in surrending mode and I stared at him right into his soul like I wanted to kill him. Amphesising on what he meant but 'they can hear you', I turned around glaced at the other dudes with a gaspe realising the 'philosophy' or 'code'.
"Oh... don't tell me... They're...?" I let him continue even if I knew the answer to that. "Oh yeah" we whispered soundly in my ears. Ok people, this is it, the bomb shell, the story of life... Werewolves. Yup! Not kidding, this is really happening. 'Men how I wish it wasn't' I get it, I know this sound sooo science fiction but here it goes, I'm a hunter, the supernatural kind. Yeah this was part of my everyday life. The part of me that Jay deserved to know. 'No strings attached' that's what they always say but, I chose to be that way.
It's not just something that pops up in a conversation you know 'hey I'm a supernatural hunter would you go out with me?' Hell no! This is just bull shit. "Well, well, well... " a sudden voice coming up front as I looked up to reveal the stranger standing before me, giving me a croocked evil smile, with those big brown eyes staring right at the two of us. I was still grabbing Shai from his collar and slowly let go of him as the tall figure turn around to face us.
"What do we have here? A female organism." Female organism? Ok tell me he didn't just say that. I know it is highly on a higher standard than I am but what fuck is up with that. "Bitch please the only female organism here is your white ass!" I snapped back revealing my tempore towards him.
I wasn't at all scared or threatened by him when he came closer to me. 'He smirked looking up and down at me. Like guards scanning for drugs at the airport'. "Oh well isn't it Esther, the future bitch of the society" he snapped back. Again, his words didn't fase me he just showed his pure hatered towards me. I wasn't offened by that statement.
"Craig Wallis, the whore bloodhound, nice to see you again" I said sweetly as I smiled at him showing my 'don't give a fuck' face. We both shared a stare gazzing deeply into each others eyes, as if we were about to start World War III. I felt a hand touching my left shoulder from behind me. "Hey, you okay?" Jay looked at Craig as if he was saying 'back off she's mine' huh, I loved it when he did that. "Who the fuck are you?!" Craig pin pointed. "I'm Jay, her boyfriend and who are you?" He said showing annoyence. "Who gave you the right to interrogate me? Human?!" He said sharply. "Human?" Jay mubbled in confusion by Craig's response. "Babe let me handle this he's not worth it..." I squeezed his arm so that he could calm down. I could handle someone with a bad tempore, but when it comes to Jay he had no limits. I was the only one who understood him as he did with me.
I shifted around facing, Craig and with that, he laughed thinking that I was actually going to do something about it. Huh, I had better things to do that play child play with the massive asshole standing infront on me. His canies were noticable from where I was standing. They were animal like. Like the one's of a dog's and his breath smelled like roasted lamb. That was how close I was to him. 'In a matter of speaking'
"Huh, well welcome back from the dead my good old friend" I said sarcastically, grinning with disgust pulling away from the masquer.
