Katherine was dreading tomorrow. She couldn't believe summer had already ended and school was about to start. She just came to New York last semester for her junior year and recently turned 17 two days ago. Most girls hated Katherine because she was very beautiful.

Katherine had olive skin and she had deep brown eyes. Her eyebrows were curved perfectly and her eyelashes were thick and black with a touch of mascara. She had bow lips and her teeth were in a perfect alliance. Her hair was naturally curly but she liked to straighten it from time to time. Her hair was a rich chocolate brown and it was long too. Her curves were not too wide nor too small they were perfect for her body. Her personality was more gorgeous than her features. Katherine was sweet and she cared for everyone who she was close to.
She was only a snob to the ones who she despised.

Most girls hated her because of her looks but she didn't care. They didn't know her personally so she didn't let them affect her. She kept her head up especially when it came to boys. She despised the boys at her school, Charleston High. All they did was take girls virginity and leave. She cringed at the thought of it. She promised herself to not let them get to her and to keep moving forward. It was easier said than done because the number one 'hottie' in her school liked Katherine. Damon
liked her the second month she arrived at Charleston. He's been trying to get at her but she simply refused and rejected. She tried telling him no nicely the first time but he wouldn't seem to get the message. After that, he just got annoying with his little smirks and just him in general.

A loud beep pulled her out of her thoughts. She sighed as she figured it was time to get out of the sauna and start getting ready for school tomorrow. She let her damp hair curls flow down her back. She put on a thin grey sweater and slid leggings on. Just as she was about to put on her boots she glanced outside the window and at her watch.

It was 8:16 pm when she started exiting the gym. It was getting colder by the minute as she walked across the beautiful city lights of New York.

As soon as she reached Central Park it started to drizzle and the sky was now as black as ink. It was now 8:23 pm and she only had 2 more blocks before she reached her house.

She was now walking towards the street light when a man caught her eye. She couldn't help but stare at him. His features were perfect, his jawline was carved very nicely and his skin had a glow to it. His lips were perfectly arched and had a tinge of red to to it.

He was looking at the sky admiring it.
She felt sparks fly through her as she looked at him. She wanted to know him, she wanted to be in that very moment with him.

He must have noticed someone was watching him because he scanned around the park and as soon as his eyes met hers, they locked. She felt tingles run through her as he was watching her.

His eyebrows furrowed and he frowned, "Do I have something on my face?" Katherine's words were caught in her throat and she gasped.

He smirked, "What's the matter cat got your tongue?"

"I...I...um...have to go...sorry about that." She couldn't believe it. She never stuttered especially in front of a guy. She quickly walked as fast as she could towards the street light but before she could cross, somebody grabbed ahold of her arm gently. She turned around to see who it was and it was him. His eyes were a beautiful green like emerald. She looked back down at her arm then him. He quickly let go as he saw her discomfort. Katherine was never nervous, she couldn't understand why she was acting like this.

"Sorry if I came out harsh...uh...well...it was because you were staring at me I...I thought I had something on my face."

Katherine's face softened and he had relaxed his shoulders when she did.

She smiled softly and said," It's alright. I um...I have to go."

She signaled toward the street light that had less than 15 seconds to go.

He smiled showing off his beautiful white teeth,"Oh...Oh right, sorry again."

Before he could say anymore she quickly walked across the street putting on her hoodie.  She smiled at the thought that they talked but she quickly frowned realizing she didn't even ask for his name.

"Wait! What's your name?" The boy yelled out from across the street, almost as if he were reading her

"Kat-" Katherine was cut off by a big truck honking at the small taxi in front of him.
She laughed realizing she was never going to see the boy again so she decided to leave it at that and she then started to run down the street. She was happy that she at least talked to the mysterious guy.

She had never felt those tingles before and it made her happy, something she hasn't been in a long time...
