Frank POV

The Arch was about a mile from the station. Late in the day the queues weren't that long, so we got in after 30 minutes. We threaded our way through the underground museum, looking at covered wagons and other things from the 1800s. I nearly fell asleep several times, as it wasn't that exciting, but Annabeth sprouted interesting facts here and there and Grover passed around a stash of Candy and some cookies Percy magicked up. They were chocolate chip, and tasted delicious, but they were blue. Dough, chips, everything. I decided not to ask.

I noticed Annabeth glancing at the little big three suspiciously every once in a while. What was she doing?

I kept looking around. I didn't expect our good luck to last. Compared to what Luke told with the monsters us about his quest, which wasn't much, he had been attacked every 12 hours, even though he had the demigod suppressing scent gem with him. Maybe he was in an area with a lot of monsters. In fact, this quest seemed almost entirely too easy. Maybe we were Travelling with six ultra-powerful demigods, but still.

I kept looking around though. My demigod instincts were slightly less than other demigods, since I didn't have ADHD or Dyslexia, but I felt unsettled, like something was watching us. The rest seemed similarly affected.

"You smell anything?" I asked Grover quietly.

He took his nose out of the jelly-bean bag Long enough to sniff the air. "Underground," he sniffed. "Always smells like monsters."

Something felt wrong to me. It felt like there was something that didn't want us here.

"Guys," I said. "What exactly are we looking for?"

Annabeth had been reading about the construction equipment needed to build the arch, but she looked up.

"First is Zeus' Master Bolt." She said. "It is his symbol of power. All lighting in the world is fashioned after it. It is powerful enough to vaporise a partially immortal person."

"Next is Poseidon's trident. It is his symbol of power. It amplifies his powers. It helps him make earthquakes and hurricanes."

"Lastly is Hades' helm of darkness. It is basically my Yankees cap, but it turns him into pure darkness. He can melt into shadows and pass through walls. It radiates fear that could give you a heart Attack."

"Woah," Piper said. "That's powerful."

Annabeth nodded grimly. "Now you see why we must get them back."

The little big three glanced at each other. I had a feeling they knew a lot more than Annabeth... But they didn't want to share it.

I'd almost mastered my nerves when I saw the tiny elevator car we had to ride to the top. I groaned. This is not going to be relaxing. Everyone except me and Grover is ADHD.

We got into the car in turns. I was with Piper, Grover and Annabeth, along with a really obese lady and her dog. The dog was a chihuahua with a diamond collar, and was obviously spoilt.

We started going up, inside the arch. I'd never been in an elevator that curved before, and I didn't like it.

"No parents?" The fat lady said.

Her eyes were beady, her teeth were pointy and coffee stained and she wore a floppy denim hat and dress that made her look like a beach ball. Piper cringed, and looked horrified a second later. She muttered something about stupid genes.

"They're below," I said. "Afraid of heights." I inwardly hoped my Father wouldn't kill me. I don't think he was afraid of anything.

"Oh, the poor things." That lady gave me the creeps.
