I was at a loss for words. Why the hell did he want to sit with me?
I sheepishly nodded my head at him and he sat happily. Zayn pulled out a sandwich out of his bag and began to eat. I sat there dumbfounded as a million questions raced through my head.
Why the fuck is he sitting with me?
Doesn't he know that sitting with me will only get him made fun of too?
How did he get so beautiful?
Does he do his own hair?
Where on earth did he come from?
My thoughts were interrupted by Zayn's hand waving in front of my eyes. "Hello? Anyone there? The lights are on but no one's home." He said in a distant voice.
"What? Sorry! What were you saying?" I said as I snapped out of my trance.
"I was just asking for your name" He giggled.
"Oh, right! Annabelle. But, I prefer Belle." I replied coolily. Then I asked a totally stupid question. "Are you new here?"
Of course he is here you idiot!
Zayn just laughed. It sounded so pure and innocent. I liked it. I liked him. He was perfect. And he had absolutely no idea who I was.
We talked for awhile and swapped schedules. I had Maths and physical education with him. The best part was that he was just as happy about it as I was.
He walked me to my next class and suprised me when I found him waiting for me after class at my locker. I thought it was sweet. No one had ever done anything like that for me before.
He even walked home with me. It was nice to have a friend after being alone for so long. It was sort-of weird though, a stranger paying that much attention to me? Belle Winston? I had a slight suspicion something was up but I pushed it away because he was to cute to be trouble.
I was breezing happily in to the foyer when my mother stopped me dead in my tracks. Her words made my head spin and my my heart pound.
"Hi Belle! I see you've met our new next door neighbor, Zayn Malik."
