As every story starts, it was just a normal day. Well, sort of.
The fact that I was walking down the school corridor with my two friends was hardly abnormal. There was nothing wrong with the fact Amy was blabbing on about her amazing new poster she'd put up in her locker, and my best friend Kat just looked at me, rolled her eyes and went back to sipping her coke. Well, Amy's tendency to over talk could be a bit drowning. And we both new Kat couldn't stand my other friend, but she was the only other person that would talk to me when I started halfway through the year, so she had to deal with it.
No, it was the fact that when Amy opened her locker to show us her new poster, which happened to be a huge portrait of Ryan Evans, and I dropped all my books, and Kat choked on her drink, was what made my 'normal' day different to anyone else's. We didn't scream. We didn't moan about how lucky she was and how much we wanted one. We didn't gush about how much we loved him. We just frantically tried to cover up our mistakes: I bent down to pick up my books while Kat tried to clean up some of the drink she'd spilt everywhere. Amy didn't even blink. She just carried on staring at her poster, off in a daydream about his really blue eyes or something. The eyes of my brother.
Yeah, you heard right.
Three years ago some guy broke down outside our house. We lived in a pretty remote area of countryside, so he had no choice but to knock on our door. Whilst he was inside, he could hear my brother singing upstairs. Anyway, to cut a long story short, the man was a manager of a huge record label. He signed him on the spot. And bam! A superstar was created. Everything after that was a bit of a blur. We moved from our small house in the English countryside to sunny LA. Then came the number one debut single, and the other hundred of number ones that came after that. Also came the double platinum albums, the sell out tour and of course, the millions of crazy girls stalking his every move. My brother, a teenage heartthrob. It was certainly a lot to take in with.
There was only two things that remained secret: One, the location of our house. I still don't understand how the keep that secret. But anyway, it was a present from Ryan's manager Nick when he first started out. It' in such a beautiful location, right by the beach. Plus I only have one neighbour, Kat. She came round the first day we arrived, went through my stuff and asked to borrow half my clothes. She didn't give my brother a second glance, and we've been best friends ever since. We fight all the time, but not in the proper bitchy way most girls do, more of a jokey, messing about thing. And whilst we have many differences, we're so a like it freaks some people out, which certainly amuses me.
The second thing is, well...me. Even though everyone knows that Ryan has a younger sister, but they just don't know who she actually is. My mum made sure this happened to protect me, blah blah blah. She can be quite protective, but then again, Ryan's fans can get pretty phyco. I'd propably end up getting murdered by some jealous girl, so I do see her point. Plus I don't really mind mind. In fact, It just means I actually get to live a 'normal' life. Which brings us back to the present.
Kat recovers quickly, as always, and turns to Amy and shakes her head. 'Really, Your still obsessing over this boy? Hasn't it been like, three years now?'
Amy looks at Kat like she has three heads. 'This boy!!!' she screams, and with that she bangs her locker shut and flounces off to talk to her other friends.
Kat gives a sigh of relief 'Well at least it got rid of her' she says as we walk down the corridor and out of the school building.
Even I had to agree. I kind of see why Kat hates Amy so much. As much of a lovely person she is, she has a tendency to overact and shout and scream and talk way too much. She was the first person who talked to me when I moved here (apart from Kat) and we get on fairly well, but we're not very alike. For a start, we hate each others friends. Everyone knows that Kat hates Amy, but its her friends that I can't stand. They think they are 'popular' but the truth is, everyone is just to scared to stand up to them. All they care about is how they look and making other people miserable. Their 'leader' Rebecca personally likes making me miserable, although i can't understand why, as I've never really done anything to her. Well, apart from not agree with her stupid 'I-love-Ryan-He's-so-hot' talks. It kind of makes me feel sick, when everyone is talking about how hot he is, and how much they're in love with someone they haven't even met.
