I was almost warmed up when I was startled by a loud bang.
"There's a stranger here," someone growls.
I begin to shake from fright.

The candle begins to speak to the person who had spoken. "Master, allow me to explain. The gentleman was lost in the woods and was cold and wet-"

A loud growl cut Lumiere off from his explanation.

Cogsworth then speaks. "Master, I'd like to take this moment to say that I was against this from the start. I tried to stop them, but would they listen to me? No, no, no!"

Their master growls once again. Like some kind of beast. I turn around in the chair and fall backwards in shock as I gasp and try to make sense of what is in front of me.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" he yells at me.

I scoot myself back with every step he takes towards me. "I-I was lost and-"

"You are not welcome here!"

"I'm very sorry."

"What are you staring at?"

I look away from him. "No-Nothing!" I look over and sere that the door is in plain view and open for my escape. I rush over, only to be stopped by the beast who is now blocking the exit.

"So, you've come to stare at the beast, have you?"

I shake my head. "Please, I meant no harm! I only needed a place to stay."

"I'll give you a place to stay!" he yells. I just about have a heart attack when he picks me up and carries me somewhere.

-- Gaston's POV --

"Heh! Oh boy! Ben's gonna get the surprise of his life, huh Gaston?" Lefou yells in excitement.

I laugh. "Yep! This is his lucky day." I turn to all of our wedding guests. "Thank you all for coming to my wedding. But, first, I better go in there and propose!" I turn to Lefou who is acting all giddy and happy. "Now, Lefou, when Ben and I come out that door-"

"I know, I know!" Lefou begins to conduct the band to play "Here Comes the Bride".

I slap the back of his head and he stops. "Not yet!"

"Oh. Sorry."

-- Ben's POV --

I get up from the chair after marking my spot in the book I was reading and go to the door. I look through one of my fathers contraptions to see who it is and groan when the headache begins to form at my temples. I open the door and cross my arms over my chest, giving him an indifferent look. "Gaston, what a pleasant surprise," I say in a dead tone.

He chuckles as he makes his way into my house without invitation. The door closes on its own as I watch Gaston. "Isn't it though? I'm just full of surprises. You know, Ben, there's not a girl in  town who wouldn't love to be in your shoes. This is the day your dreams come true."

I hold in my laughter, but it's still evident in my voice as I ask, "What do you know about my dreams, Gaston?"

"Plenty. Here, picture this." He sits down in the chair I was recently sitting in and props his feet up on the table. Right on top of my book. He then proceeds to kick off his muddy shoes onto the only carpet we have in the house, our rug. I sigh, but say nothing. It would be pointless. "A rustic hunting lodge, my latest kill roasting on the fire, and my little wife, massaging my feet, while the little ones play with the dogs."

Wife? His feet? Little ones?

He stands up and leans in close to my face. "We'll have six or seven."

My eyebrows lift in questioning. "Dogs?"

He laughs. "No, Ben! Strapping boys, like me!"

"Imagine that." Me having children. I can't bare children. I'm a boy! Has he even thought this through? I steep away from him and grab the book from he table, cleaning it off as much as I could for now before putting it up on the shelf, out of harms way.

"And do you know who that wife will be?"

I hum. "Let me think."

He backs me into a corner and smiles down at me. "You, Ben!"

I duck under his arms and step away from him, heading towards the door. "Gaston, I'm speechless. I really don't know what to say."

He makers his way towards me and pushes things aside in the process. "Say you'll marry me," he says as he continues stalking towards me.

"I'm very sorry, Gaston, but I just don't deserve you." Just as his hands hit the door, I open it and move out of the way before he falls out and down the small amount of steps, right into the snow. I go over to the spot he left his shoes and throw them outside to him, slamming the door shut.

That imbecile. Who does he think he is saying all those things without thinking of my gender? Not that I was even slightly considering marrying that oaf. As if.

I was just about to go back to cleaning my book when I heard an all too familiar neigh of a horse. I go out the back door and see Phillipe running towards the house. I notice that my father is not riding with him and begin to panic. I run to him and calm him down. " Phillipe, what are you doing here? Where's Papa? We have to find him!" I unhitch the wagon from Phillipe and climb onto his back.
