Thorn is smart but, how can she accept just some random dragon who looks odd as her daughter? This dragon may just be an imposter.
Qibli was told to just sit still and watch over Thorn's so-called daughter who just showed up a second ago. She had fallen asleep and there was a fire outside which Qibli was desperately wanting to help out in. He wanted to protect his leader but she told him to watch over Sunny, the odd Sandwing.
At least she's not hard to handle. She didn't look that mean looking when she came in like most Sandwings are. Also, she's smaller than usual but probably quick to react. No venomous tail however, but she may have adapted from her tail into something else. Her flames maybe? Qibli sat thinking of what Sunny's abilities were like he always did when he met a new dragon. He needed to know how to defend himself or Thorn if dragons acted up so he always thought about how he could attack them if necessary.
For example, Six-Claws. If he was a threat at one point, Qibli would know to slash his wings at first so he couldn't fly away and then get him tired before he pounced and ripped at his scales. He also wouldn't have to worry about his barbed tail because he didn't have one, anymore at least. Of course, that would probably never happen because Six-Claws was very loyal to Thorn.
Qibli looked over to Six-Claws beside him who Thorn told to watch over Sunny as well. They weren't speaking to each other because they both were keeping a careful eye on Sunny like their orders said to do but, they both were already in good conditions with one another so they didn't need to build a better relationship anyway.
"Qibli, want to go help with the fire? She's sleeping so we probably don't need both of us to watch over her. I got it covered if you want to help," suggested Six-Claws cutting into the silence right when Qubli had thought about them not talking very much.
"Really? I'll ask Thorn first thing when I go out but are you sure you got it covered?" excitedly asked Qibli. He really wanted to protect his leader and her Outclaw subjects.
"All six claws of mine are sure. Go," replied Six-Claws smiling.
"Thanks!" yelled Qibli as he flew his way out of the hut and down to Thorn and the other dragons trying to put out the fire. He landed in front of Thorn who was getting buckets of water and passing them out to the helping dragons.
"Thorn, Sunny has fallen asleep and I thought I could come help. Six-Claws is still looking over her though," Qibli told Thorn.
"That's fine, it's true we probably don't need more dragons to watch over her," responded Thorn as she continued to fill up buckets and pass them along.
Qibli nodded as he then started helping Thorn with the bucket filling while other dragons took the buckets and poured them on the flames. It was hard work but they got the fire cleared and there also wasn't much damage caused to the village.
At the very moment they finished, Six-Claws came bounding out of the alley by the queen's hut. He was alone and his face looked worried and frightened by who knows what. Snakes? More fire? Sunny?
"Thorn, Addax and about six other dragons or so came with Ostrich and surrounded Sunny and I. They said give us Sunny or they'll hurt Ostrich . I didn't want to fight them because we were outnumbered but Sunny had sacrificed herself so I wouldn't have to choose. I'm sorry but they're now off towards Burn's stronghold," Six-Claws burst out all at once and was now muttering to himself "I could've tried to save both of them." It was about about Sunny. I should've stayed to guard her.
Thorn stopped a second to think about what was happening. Qibli was feeling guilty as he then burst out, "I should've stayed to guard. It's my fault they took her. I'll go fix my mistake."
