I'm so bummed that my summer's over. I can't believe I gotta go back to my dreadful boarding school! Yes. Going to boarding school sucks, it's like they keep you in prison away from your families but they force us to study as well. And don't forget sleeping in dorms with a bunch of other annoying vampires. Horrible. Unless I'll be in a dorm with my best friends, which rarely happens.
I lie down on my gothic bed facing my alarm clock that shows 5 minutes until 7 watching it with sinister when suddenly I hear knocks on the door.
"What is it?" I cry out as I sit up and stretch my arms.
"It's almost seven Delia, hurry up and get ready for school." My dad shouts out.
"I'm up, I'm up."
I sigh and get my ass out of the bed and walk slowly towards the black door that leads to the bathroom. I look at my reflection on the mirror and think that I actually look pretty decent.
I've got sapphire blue eyes that I got from my parents. Vampires come in many different kinds of eye colors and the blue ones are very rare so I feel really proud to have them.
I have straight black hair that falls until my torso with a few brown streaks. We vampires have natural deep red lips.
I pick up my toothbrush and squirt the toothpaste onto the toothbrush and began to brush them across my teeth. And don't forget my incredibly long sharp fangs, I brushed them gently from the top to bottom.
After I finished all my 'bathroom businesses' I head to my closet to pick out some clothes that I haven't packed yet. My clothes are obviously 90% dark.
I put on an off-shoulder grey skull crop top with a matching black frilly skirt. I put on my favorite black ankle boots, sling my huge backpack onto my shoulders and march outside my room, across the hall and down the grand stairs.
"Hey sweetie, your things are already in the car. Go have some blood, I'll wait for you in the car." My dad says already dressed up in his suit. My dad works at the royal palace as the head of the guards and the king's most trusted man that they became friends.
He used to be a hunter. Hunters are the vampires who go beyond this city and into woods or even to the cities of humans to hunt for blood for us vampires to eat. He was one of the best hunter yet.
"Okay dad." I walk into the kitchen where I find my maid, Janice. "Good morning Delia." She greets me politely with a smile as she walks to the fridge picking up a blood pack and handing it to me. "Morning Janice."
"Are you ready for school?" She asks me.
I take a sip of the fresh delicious blood and wipe my lips with my hand to answer, "Not really. I still wanna stay at home."
"I'm sure you will have a lot of fun at school. I hope you good luck dear."
"Thanks Janice." I drink the rest of the blood and sigh. So damn gooood.
I throw the pack into the trash bin, wash my hands and head out the house. I walk down the trail outside the house and look back for a moment to stare at my mansion. Goodbye home, I'll see you soon.
I head to the white SUV that is parked at the driveway and get inside to the passenger's seat.
"Ready to go Delly?" Dad asks.
"No."
"Okay!" He steps down the accelerator and the car goes speeding through the streets.
"I heard that school isn't really starting until tomorrow." Dad says as he puts his aviators on. I nod. "You want to come with me to the palace later?"
