"C'mon Jean, just once!" Eleanor begged me

"Ellie, I've told you a thousand times. I wouldn't like to get dirty or worn out today, so I'm not going to pass the soccer ball with you." I informed my little sister

"Please! It would mean the world to me!"

"Not the world." I sighed

"Yes, the whole world." Eleanor said as she gestured her hand across the sky

"Well then, um fine I'll pass the soccer ball a couple times." I said as I stood up and got my balance

"Oh thank you Jeanette!! You're the BEST SISTER EVER!!" Shouted Eleanor

"Uh-huh, thanks Ellie. Now can we play?"

"Yes." Said Eleanor as she lightly kicked the ball to me

I generously kicked it back and we passed the ball a few times until my phone started to ring.

"Oh I'm sorry Ellie, I'll be right back."

I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and ran behind the nearest tree. I saw the caller identification name said "Simon💙". I immediately answered hoping everything was okay.

"Hello?" I shyly said

"Oh, hello, Jeanette I was just calling to um a-ask you if y-you maybe wanted to uh maybe g-go out s-sometime, would you?" Simon nervously stuttered

"S-Sure, when would you like to go out?" I asked holding my excitement in.

"Would tonight be okay?"

"That would be perfect, is 7:00 okay?"

"Yes, that's fine. I'll see you then."

"Kk, see you then." I said as I hung up the phone.

OH MY GOODNESS!! I'm going to dinner with Simon! Woo-hoo!! I thought as I did a victory dance around the tree, then Eleanor came over to me.

"Uhh, Jeanette?" She asked confusingly.

I stopped dancing and said "Yes?"

"What'cha doin'?"

"Oh, um, uh there was a spider on my pants, so I uh tried to get it off..."

"Oh okay." Eleanor said as she went back to playing soccer.

I sat down and watched her play for at least 5 minutes then I decided it was time to get ready for my night out with Simon.

"Well Ellie I'm going back home." I said standing up.

"Okay. See ya later." She said continuing playing soccer.

I walked back to the treehouse and started to search for an outfit to wear for my 'date'.

"Ughh! I have nothing to wear!" I frustratingly screamed.

Brittany of course had to butt into my clothes crisis as always.

"Jeanette, you are so right." Brittany said as she walked upstairs.

Great. I thought as I rolled my eyes.

"You need a whole new look." Brittany said while she looked in my closet.

"Brittany, I think my look is fine."

Brittany looked at me with a "Really?" face for a second then back at my closet.

"Hmm?..What do you need clothes for anyways?.." She asked still looking into my closet.

I don't want to tell her the truth because she would make such a big deal out of it and freak out, but I guess I'll tell her anyways.

"Well Simon and I are going to have a night out to ourselves tonight." I said hoping Brittany wouldn't make a big deal out of it.

Brittany turned her head quickly with excitement and gasped.

Uh-Oh here it comes.

Brittany took a huge breath before she screamed "YOU'RE GOING ON A DATE!!!!!" She jumped around excitingly and smiled at me.

"I wouldn't call it a 'date' it's more like a way to get to know each other, like a friendly outing...it's not a date."

"It's a date and it's gonna be a great one."

"No it isn't."

"Yes it is."

"No."

"Yes."

"Fine it's a date." I said, so she would be quiet and help me.

"Ah-Ha! You admitted it!"

"Okay. Can you please just help me now?.."

"Of course I'll help you."

"Thank you Brittany!" I ran over to her and hugged her tightly.

"No problem Jeanette." She said as she hugged back "Now when's this date of yours?" She asked as she released herself from our hug.

"Well I'm supposed to meet Simon at his house, at 7:00 I'm pretty sure."

"You're supposed to meet him over there? He's supposed to come to you. Boys are so selfish." She scoffed

"Brittany, you know Simon can't move very well. He was very polite to even ask me out for the night."

"Well he's not being much of a gentleman. If my Alvie was halfway dead he would still come and pick me up for a date, I wouldn't have to go to him."

"Like I said it's fine."

"No it's not."

"Yes it is."

"Jeanette, listen to me! I have way more experience with dates and boys then you do!"

"So?! That doesn't mean that you have to run my life!"

"Well you're my sister, and I'm just trying to look out for you!"

"Oh really?! Well if Simon's not the gentleman you think he is for me! Then I just won't go!" I screamed as I pushed Brittany out of my room.

{A/N~ I'm stopping there. I can't think of that much anymore, and I've had a long enough break from writing, so I thought I should at least post something...well I hope you like it. Bye.}
