Ch 17 Fidgeting Wolf

I stiffened and looked around again. Who ever the person was that had stolen my key and destroyed Angels stiff was haunting me. Everywhere i was i smelt it, some times it was really strong, other times it was so faint i barely noticed it. Now was one of those strong times. It was heavy and think, like the person was standing right next to me. I glanced at Emily and Bianca who was talking beside me. I didn't think it was them and looked around again.

I couldn't see anyone now that i had seen earlier, i mean, if i had seen the person in one class when it was strong and smelt it now and saw the person, it could be a lead. "What are you doing?" Emily suddenly asks waving a hand in my face.

"I can smell someone, don't worry" i say shaking my head.

"What? Is it drawing you to the person? Like...i don't know...Lucas?" Bianca asks slyly. Her eyes then flickered to the right and i glanced over and sure enough Lucas was standing there arguing with Jason.

"What? No" i frown at her. What the hell was she going on about.

Emily must have seen my face and rolled her eyes and Bianca. "Everyone knows about Lucas knowing more things then he should though the smell of your blood. It's around the whole school" Emily stopped there though she looked like she wanted to say more but Bianca had pinned her with a glare.

"What? Whats going on?" i look between my two friends. they were both looking between each other.

"It's nothing for you to worry about" Emily smiled.

"No, i'm worrying about it, tell me" i say shifting on my feet. What were they going on about?

"It's nothing, really. Anyway, what do you mean, you smell someone?" Bianca changed the topic slyly and i was about to tell her off for it but then sighed. It wasn't be that important if they wont tell me. Something inside me nagged to know though.

"Someone broke into my room the other night and destroyed some of Angels things, they smelled like Cinnamon and garlic" i say bitterly.

Bianca looks at the sky as if she was thinking while Emily just stares at me. "I know that smell, it's always in the hallway at our house. I don't know who it is though"

I bit my lip. People could smell it too but no one could place it. Great. I nearly scoffed out loud but contained myself. I started walking again and Emily followed behind me. I suddenly yelped when someone grabbed me around the waist and threw me over their shoulder. "Sorry girls, i'm kidnapping her" Heath says then started walking.

"Heath! Put me down! your shoulders bony!" i complain and grunt. Heath just laughed and i made it worse by playfully hitting his back.

"Shut up will ya? You asked me to sniff around, i did a bit of sniffing and found something out" he laughed.

"Well put me down and tell me" i say to him.

I could imagine Heath rolling his eyes before he put me on the ground. "So this is what i found out. You can smell Cinnamon and garlic all over the house. Which probably doesn't sound good, but that means they're always around, walking around i mean" he ruffles his hair as he walks. "Also it's at one main part of the hallways. Either were he hangs out most, or his locker"

I realize we were walking into the school building and looked up at him. "You didn't have to sniff the hallway you know"

"Yeah, well when you told me, it got me thinking. I couldn't help it, i smelt it everywhere i went" Heath says then suddenly stops. "Here"

I frowned at him then i smelt it too. The smell hung in the air like a bad odor. I scrunched up my nose. "Yep, it's him alright"

"Him who" Lucas's voice made me jump again. I spun around and narrowed my eyes at him.

"Will you stop doing that?" I growled. Something inside me stirred and rolled, like it didn't want to be contained. I knew instantly that it was my inner Wolf, the only thing was it never came out when i asked it too, but right now, it was like it was itching to get out, like it was suddenly restless and needed to run. Right then I felt like i needed to run. It was an itchy, restless feeling and it wouldn't go away, just like a rash.

Lucas rolled his eyes at me. "Who are you talking about"

"Cinnamon and garlic boy" i say now rolling my eyes. I fidgeted slightly, my muscles begging to move, to do something. I noticed both Heath and Lucas were watching me, both with masked faces though Heath looked a bit concerned. "What?" i instantly regretted snapping at them. But i couldn't help it, i wanted to move, i needed to move.

Heath slowly turned his head toward Lucas. "And you have his smell on you. Who were you just with?" Heath asked narrowing his eyes slightly but kept glancing at me like i was a bomb that might got off soon.

"Trent, Trevor, Luke, Sam and Jess" Lucas says frowning.

I tried to remember them, Trent was a vampire, so he was out. Jess was a witch i knew that....I think Luke was a Wolf, he was in one of my classes. Sam was a shifter and i didn't know about Trevor. I havn't met him. "Kat, go for a run" Heath suddenly says not taking his eyes off Lucas. I stare at him debating weather to or not. "It's that or go some where and try to change, if you stay here and change it might not be the prettiest thing having you newly changed and a vampire in the same room. Beside, you look ready to jump around like a lunatic"

I nodded my head feeling relieved he wasn't giving me orders, it was more of a suggestion, and besides, it sounded like he knew how i was feeling. I quickly turned on my heels and started down the hallway. When i was outside i broke into a run. I just needed to. The Wolf inside me stirred again, this time stronger and i shuddered. I printed harder, moving towards the boarding houses, a forest stood behind it, and right now the forest looked really good. I shuddered again, heat rose in my chest and stomach, the Wolf stirred again, this time stronger and i felt like it was really trying to crawl out of me. I needed move, i needed to. I dove into the forest as i heard a howl radiate inside my head, spikes of pain going though my temple. It wanted out, and for once, i wished it would stay in.
